Paper Crafts Inspired By Challenge & SNOW

Hey everybody! It snowed here today! :) We were so excited to see it & play in it! It is very unusual to snow here! We broke a record today, it has never snowed this early in the season and it hasn't snowed two years in a row, since 1948 & 1949! Southeast Texas is usually pretty hot! I wanted to share a few pics of us today. The first pic we took, it had just started snowing, then the next ones, were about 15 to 20 min. later! Look how fast it came down! I really love the snow, maybe it's because we only see it once a year on vacation. When I was little, I lived close to Dallas and it snowed every year for a couple of days, so it is different living here and seeing none!

(This one is a little blurry, but look how white it is behind us!)

(Fighting over a snowball and Tucker watching! :) )

(Look at Chace's big snowball, I think someone might get hurt! :) )

After playing in the snow, we ate homemade chili and put up our tree! I am going to get a little bit more decorations, because we changed colors this year, so I will post a pic when I'm done. But it already looks so pretty! Then we made cookies and drank eggnog! We really enjoy when my mom comes and stays with us too!

I made this card for the Paper Crafts Inspired By Challenge. This card is inspired by Danni Reid, from the Paper Crafts Holiday Cards & More, Vol. 4, pg. 10. She is so talented, you should really check her out! And go check out the challenge too, there is a prize involved! :) And there is still time for the EBTKS challenge! And there is a prize there too! :)

Supplies:
Cardstock- (American Crafts) Merry Mint Collection- aqua, (Georgia Pacific) white
Stamps- (PTI) Signature greetings
Ink- (ColorBox) chestnut roan chalk
Other- (American Crafts) Merry Mint Collection- flair buttons, green polka dot ribbon; brown twine- WalMart

Have a Blessed day!

Ahh! It snowed here too, but snow is very common up here and we are not as excited (well, the kids always are!!) I just don't like driving in it! Sounds like you had a very fun family day...love those :) Miss those days when the first snow falls and my son couldn't wait to go out and play or sled. Gorgeous card! Love the dimension!

Crazy how you've seen more snow in Texas than I have seen in Ontario, Canada this season!! Ah well--I'm enjoying my paper crafting time now--soon enough I'll be spending too much time shovelling all that white stuff.

Pretty card--you never disappoint!
