Embellish Color Challenge With Stitching

Hey everybody! Well I was finally able to craft a couple of days ago and this is one of the cards I made. I started making it, with Spring colors in mind and before I knew it it started fitting in the Embellish Challenge! I just realized that the inspiration pics have little colored eggs too! :)
I am not the greatest at hand stitching! I just eye-balled it! :)
{Hello Spring card} Supplies: Cardstock- (PTI) aqua mist, sweet blush, (Paper reflections) kraft, (Georgia Pacific) white ; Stamps- (WplusDesign) Love birds, (American Crafts) Dear Lizzy "Spring" sentiment, (Studio G) Spring stamps "Hello" sentiment ; Ink- (Versamark) watermark, (ColorBox) chestnut roan & pink, (Martha Stewart) blue ; Ribbon- (Offray) white satin, brown embroidery floss ; Other- (Recollections) brown pearl
It also fits the EBTKS challenge, to use string. If you haven't played yet, stop by and check it out!
I am so happy it is starting to look like Spring here, but that also brings NASTY pollen! We live in the woods, so you can imagine the pollen! Our cars start looking yellow! And now my poor hubby is sick in bed! He says it's from the tulips I bought the other day and are now our center piece on our table! Every time I buy fresh flowers, someone gets sick in our house! That is why our kids were sick right before vacation last month. I had to throw the flowers away, and they were so pretty! So I just threw these away too! :( He is coughing, running fever, and his sinuses are stopped up. I made him an appointment for tomorrow. Please keep him in your prayers.
Well it's time to get the kids from school and Chace has a batting class.
So ya'll have a Blessed day!

EBTKS Challenge 12- String

Good morning! It's time for another EBTKS "Around the House Challenge" and this month I am the host. I chose to use String. You can use embroidery floss, hemp string or anything you have at your house that looks like string! :) And here's my card.
Can you tell I am ready for Spring? I really don't use a clothes line, I prefer the drier. And we live right off the highway, so I really don't want my under garments hanging out for everyone to see! ;) But when we have Hurricane's and our power is out for weeks, and I am just happy to have clean clothes, then I will take a clothes line any day! :)
{Celebrate sunshine card} Supplies: Cardstock- (PTI)spring rain, (Paper reflections) kraft; Patterned paper- (American Crafts) Teen line; Stamps- (Practicing Creativity) You're Dandy, (American Crafts) Dear Lizzy; Ink- (StazOn) jet black, (PTI) fresh snow, (Martha Stewart) green ; Other- white embroidery floss

Come by the EBTKS blog for all the details and to check out all the other designers cards! :)

Have a Blessed day!

Happy Birthday Autumn!

Good morning! Well today is my sweet baby girl's 12th Birthday! I cannot believe she is already 12! I remember the day she was born, like it was yesterday. She changed my life for the better, when she was born. She is so sweet, loving, talented, smart and beautiful! She makes me so proud! I love you Boo! :)
Since our kids started Pre-K, we have ALWAYS went and ate with them at school on their Birthday and we would bring their choice of food! Autumn always wants Subway and Chace always wants McDonald's! So today I will be bringing Autumn her lunch, but I won't be staying with her to eat it. You see, me and her Daddy aren't cool anymore! :( This is her first year in Jr. High and parents don't really eat with their kids at school there. I'm sure it's the kids choice, not the parents! :)
Here is a picture of Autumn on our trip to Tennessee. This is at the Heartbreak Hotel that we stayed at. They had a really nice lobby, with all the funky little chairs! So we just had our own little photo shoot that morning! I'm sure everyone thought we were a bunch of Texas nuts! :) Oh well, it was worth it! :)
Since we aren't having a party at school like we usually do, I decided to make cookies, (actually Chance baked them for me, because his are the best) and I decorated the bags. They are for her friends she sits with at lunch. They will have their own little birthday party lunch, (and Momma & Daddy aren't invited.) :( We told her we were going to dress up like clowns and come in her lunch and preform for the whole lunch room! She was mad about that! We really wouldn't do that, we just wanted to tease her, because we're mean like that! :)

I used the American Crafts Teen paper and Dawn's Just a Note stamp set to dress them up!
Well I am off to get Autumn's lunch and get dressed up in my clown suit! ;)
Have a Blessed day!

Embellish Fabric Color Challenge

Hey everybody! Well first of all, thank you for all the suggestions on the envelopes. I will have to check out those sites!
I have a card today for the Embellish Fabric Color Challenge. I had to use Kelly Marie's new stamp set "Sew Lovely" again. I love it so much! I really can't wait until I can have a whole day to sit and craft! I haven't been crafting much lately because of the dreaded "Taxes" and the kids sports! I will finish the taxes one day! (Hopefully before April 15th)! :)
Anyway, back to the card. I made this card with Autumn in mind. Her birthday is tomorrow, and I know she loves the color green! So I made a cute little green dress. And I cut up some of Autumn's old jeans for the scalloped edge.
{Hope Your Day is Fabulous card} Supplies- Cardstock- (PTI) pure poppy, (Paper reflections) kraft, (ColorBok) green /Stamps- (Lawn Fawn) Sew Lovely, (PTI) signature greetings / Ink- (StazOn) jet black / Ribbon- (Decorative Ribbon) red grosgrain / Other- (Recollections) rhinestones, (Sizzix) Sqaure Scallop die, old jeans

We usually have her a Big Birthday party, but we are consumed with sports right now! They are doing their Regional Little Dribblers Tournament this week, so we are traveling 3 days this week to a town about 35 mins. from our house. That's not too far, but when you have softball, baseball, and basketball practice in the middle of it all too, it gets busy! So she will not have a big party right now, she plays a game on her birthday and then Chace play games the next day. So she understands and she is having a friend over to stay the night on Friday. They will have Spring Break in a couple of weeks, so we will try and have a party then!

Have a Blessed day!

Help! I need envelopes!

Hey everybody! Well I don't have a card today, but I need your help. My niece asked me to do her High School Graduation invitations this year, and I need to find some good quality envelopes. I am looking for white, regular A2, good quality and price envelopes. If any of you have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it! Reminder: This is the last day for EBTKS challenge!

Thanks so much and have a Blessed day!

Camo Cards & a Tax Neck

Hey! I have a couple of quick cards I wanted to share today. I made these for a couple of Autumn's friends who had birthday's a couple of weeks ago. By looking at the names, you would think they were twins or something, but No their not. They are just best friends. Autumn has been going to school with them since Kindergarten! They had a birthday party with a DJ and they had a great time! :)
These cards are very simple, but I think the Camo is really good for boy cards, at least in Texas they are! Because these two boys love to hunt! :)
Cardstock- (Paper reflections) green & yellow ; Stamps- (Making Memories) Just Chillin Boys line, (Studio G0 Alphabet stamps, (K & Company) Amy Butler Alphabet stamps ; Ink- (StazOn) jet black, (ColorBox) chalk chestnut roan, (Versamark) watermark

I think I have a case of the "Tax Neck"! If you are wondering what that is, it is really bad pain in the neck and head from looking down and doing taxes! :) Taxes really are a pain in the neck! It has hurt all day, until this evening. As I was lying down on the couch in pain, my sweet son Chace came over and laid beside me and put his hand on my head and started praying for me! He asked that Jesus would heal my neck and not have anymore pain, in Jesus name! He is SO sweet! And Praise God, it has felt better! :) I have gotten this from too much crafting too! I guess I need to make an early trip to the Chiropractor this week! But tomorrow me and Chance have appointments at the Dentist! YUCK!!! :( I don't like going to the dentist, I seem to never have good news when I go! I'm the type that takes really good care of my teeth and floss, and still get cavities. Now Chance on the other hand, brushes regularly but doesn't floss and he has only had a few small cavities in his life! That's just not right!!!! So I am praying I get good news tomorrow! :)
Well I guess that's it tonight, but if you haven't had a chance to play in the EBTKS challenge, there is still some time left!

Have a Blessed night!

I chair-ish your friendship card

Hey everybody! Sorry I have been quite the last couple of days. As you all know, I have been working on taxes and the kids have had SO many practices and games! We have one week left of basketball and then we can just focus on softball and baseball! Autumn had her first game on Saturday, they actually one! Let's just say, they don't practice alot at practice! Chance is coaching Chace's team this year, so he isn't coaching Autumn's. She gets more practice with us than she does at practice! Anyway they had their game Saturday and Autumn hit a homerun! They all really did good! She is going to play on a older girls team too. They are short some girls, so they asked her to play with them. So I hope she will get alot of extra practice in! :)

I am actually seeing a light at the end of the looong tunnel of taxes! I never have time to work on them long, before it is time to bring the kids to practice or something. So I have been really trying to work on them and not blog hop and stamp so much! So that explains where I have been! :)
Well today Chance was asked to preach at the church we have been attending. The whole service was AMAZING! I have known that Chance is suppose to preach, but seeing him preach for the first time in 3 months today....I know he was born to preach! He said he felt like a race horse and he felt like he had FIRE in his bones this morning! :) I really miss hearing him preach! But I know that the Lord has great things for us!
Well here is a card I made last week. I love all the colors and patterns! It reminds me that Spring is on it's way! It has been so cold here this weekend. Autumn said she saw some snow flurries this morning as we walked into church! Brrrr!

I have gotten lots of supplies in the mail, but have had no time to stamp, so I hope to do some this week! {I chair-ish your friendship card}

Patterned paper- (American Crafts) Teen line
Stamps- (Papertrey Ink) On my couch, polka dot basics II; (Hero Arts) houndstooth

Ink- (Versamark) watermark, (StazOn) jetblack;

My Little Cheerleader :)

SHE MADE IT!!!! :) Parents weren't allowed in there during tryouts, but they said she did great! I knew she would, she LOVES cheering! Autumn had a couple of friends that didn't make it, so she was consoling them instead of being happy about making it! She just kept hugging them and crying with them. I am so thankful that she has such a kind heart for others. That is so much more important! :)
Ok, so I made this card for a card call awhile back. It didn't get picked but when I made it, I had Autumn in mind. I like to create cards, that I will actually use if they aren't picked. These are our school colors and she loves zebra print. I hope ya'll can tell those are pom poms.
Here are some pics of her when we got home. Jumping for joy! :)
Thanks so much for all the well wishes and prayers, they truly mean so much!
We celebrated with steaks, baked potatoes, and a salad tonight for supper and Big Red floats for dessert! YUM!! That's a Texas celebration! :)
Have a Blessed night!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'm not Irish and I don't believe in luck, but I sure do like wearing green on St. Patrick's Day! :)
I made a trip to Goodwill last week looking for some craft stuff (I finally found what I was looking for, I'll share that later). In our Goodwill store, they sort the clothes by color, (which I love), so I went to the green shirts. And to my surprise, I found a brand spankin' new shirt from Macy's with the tags still on it! And it was my size! So a shirt that would have cost me $58.00, cost me $2.99! Ok, I'm lying, I wouldn't have bought a $58.00 shirt, because I am too cheap and I would rather buy some stamps with the extra money! But I love a good deal! So that is what I am wearing today! I have been so inspired by Susan Opel. She did 17 days of green. She wore something green everyday! I have to steal this idea next year. I can just see the scrapbook layouts for that! :) Today is the BIG cheerleading tryouts! I think I am more nervous than Autumn! I think it stems back from when I was in 6th grade and I tried out and everybody told me I was the best one, they voted for me, I was going to make it. And when it was time to announce the winners, I wasn't one of them! I'm not trying to make up excuses, like maybe I just thought I was good, cheerleading meant so much to me back then! I had a VERY rough childhood growing up, so this is something that brought me joy. Schools can be so political, and if your family isn't important, than they think neither are you! I think this is why I always try to have a voice for the less fortunate kids, because I was one of them!
So I have been praying for Autumn, and not praying that she would make it, but praying that she will not have alot of nerves and that she will be who she is! And to me, she is a cheerleader! I had Autumn right out of high school, and I was a cheerleader, so she has cheered her entire life! I know she has what it takes! She lights up when she is cheering and dancing, so I know she loves it! I will make a post tonight and let ya'll know the results.
Ok, on to the card. This is a St. Patrick's Day/ Birthday card for a friend. I hope she likes it! I had to use some more of my houndstooth ribbon, I'm trying not to hoard it! :)
Well I hope ya'll have a Blessed day!

You're sew lovely in that Rockin' dress!

Good morning! Is anyone use to this time change yet? I know I'm not! I love the time change after I get use to it, but the dark mornings are SO hard for me! I am not a morning person! :)

Guess what I got in my mail box yesterday......LAWN FAWN STAMPS!!! Woo Hoo!! :)
I have been looking for stamps with a dress form and sewing machines for awhile, and then I see one day on Kelly Marie's blog that she is coming out with stamps like that! You can imagine my excitement that day! :) I knew that they would probably be in on Monday, so I made a trip to the Post Office early yesterday. And they were in! :) So I hurried home to make a card, before it was time to pick the kids up from school! I LOVE this dress form so much, it is so fun! I want a dress just like this! :)
Isn't that a rockin' dress? I LOVE it!

Hey everybody! Texas weather has been AMAZING the last couple of days! Chace had All Star basketball games today and after that me and Autumn went shopping. We had to go and buy her outfit fro cheerleading tryouts. She just has to have a white shirt and black shorts, so we went and bought new ones and of course we had to stop at JoAnns for some craft stuff! :) And then I took her to her pitching class. She is doing really good! She will tryout for cheerleader on Wednesday, she is pretty nervous, but I know she will do great! She has been cheering her whole life, and I have taught her everything she knows! ;) No, but I do LOVE cheerleading!

Hey everybody! WOW, it is a BEAUTIFUL day here today! I thought it was suppose to rain, but I don't even see a cloud in the sky! I love days like this, I seriously want to set a craft table up outside and craft all day. But it won't be much longer and it will be way to hot for that here in Texas! :)
Well the funeral went very well yesterday. It was very sad, but it was nice hearing all the old stories about my Paw Paw. And Chance did a great job! Thank you for all the prayers!
I finally got to make a couple of cards last night and I really had to make myself stop, because I LOVE these new Practicing Creativity stamps! I ordered them from Courtney on Friday night and I had them by Monday morning! That is FAST service! Thank you Courtney!

God is so GOOD!

Hey everybody! Well I wanted to make a quick post today to let you all know why I have been away. Well Friday night my Paw Paw passed away. He was sick for about the passed 7 weeks. He had congestive heart failure and about 4 weeks ago he found out he had prostate cancer. When he found that out, he just kind of gave up. He lived a very long life of 82 years. The whole family got to visit with him about 3 weeks ago, and he knew that was the last time we would all be together with him. It was a very bitter sweet gathering. I have been praying for my Paw Paw for many years, we got to pray with him before we left that day. My Paw Paw told us that he was a hypocrite and that he didn't deserve God and he had done to many bad things in his life! That was so heart breaking to hear him say that, but we told him that God loved us all and that Jesus died for all of us! He told us that if he got real sick, that he might ask God to help him. I told him he didn't have to wait. I gave him a kiss goodbye that day and I told him I would continue to pray for him. Then he had a preacher come by and see him 2 weeks ago. The man talked to my Paw Paw and asked him where he would go when he died. My Paw Paw replied, straight to hell, I have done to many bad things in my life. The man told him that was a choice and that God wanted to save him from that. My Paw Paw as sick as he was, got up from his chair and walked over to that man across the room and grabbed his hands and the man started to pray with him! :)
My Paw Paw told everyone that came to see him, that the man had lead him to the Lord! PRAISE GOD!!!
God is so good! It is so nice to see prayers happen! I believe everyone who prayed helped this salvation happen! Thank You all from the bottom of my heart! :)
If there is anyone who doesn't know Christ, please call upon Him today! He loves you, just like He loves me! And He wants to save you just like He saved me!
We will be going to the Funeral today. Please lift Chance up in your prayers, my Mee Mee asked him to do the service. He has done tons of services, but it is always harder when it's someone you love. And my Paw Paw loved him, so they had a pretty close relationship. And please pray for my Mee Mee, she will be lost with out my Paw Paw. My Mom will be staying with her for awhile to help her out.
Thank you all again for always praying, listening to me, and encouraging me in my life! You are all so sweet!

Have a Blessed day!

A Note of Thanks Card

Hey everybody! WOW, we had Beautiful weather today! I almost went outside to stamp, because I didn't want to stay in the house, when it's that pretty outside! :) We did take the kids to the park and had a picnic! It is so nice to just hang out with them! :)
I got to stamp a little bit today, in between loads of laundry! :) Here is a card using the Wplus9 Design Studio stamps. They are from the Just a Note set. This set is so fun and Chace loved this image! :) (A Note of Thanks Card}
Cardstock- (summer sunrise) PTI, (white) Georgia Pacific, (black) The Paper Studio
Stamp- (sentiment and images- Just a Note) Wplus9 Design Studio
Ink- (jet black) StazOn, (warm red) ColorBox, (watermark) Versamark
Ribbon- (satin-red) Offray
Other- (clear embossing powder) American Crafts Zing, (scallop punch) Fiskars

Well it is official, me and Chance are bringing Autumn and a friend of hers to the Jonas Brothers Concert Sunday afternoon. Chance isn't real happy, but I do not like to drive in Houston traffic, so I talked him into going. It is at the Houston Live Stock Show & Rodeo, so we will see a rodeo first, so he is a little happier about it! :) We were told to bring ear plugs, so I guess I better get some! There is still time to play in the EBTKS challenge!

Please continue to pray for my Paw Paw and our family. He is getting worse everyday, and he is tired and ready to go, so I believe it is time! :(

Have a Blessed Night!

I Love You Card

Hey everybody! Sorry it has been a couple of days! It's been a little crazy around here. With taxes, basketball all stars, softball, and baseball (about to start), my Paw Paw has been doing really bad, please keep him and the family in your prayers.
I also mentioned a couple of month's ago that Chance was going to have another medical test done, well he has a very HUGE cancer rate in his family, so for precautionary reasons, he got a test done yesterday. And Praise God, everything went great! Everything looked normal, so not another check-up for 5 yrs, unless he has symptoms or problems. We are VERY happy with this news, because the results not only effect Chance, but they will effect our kids health one day too! So thanks for all the prayers, before the test ever happened! :)

Speaking of the kids...Autumn will be trying out for Jr. High cheerleader on March 17th for the next school year. I can't believe she is getting so big! I know she will do great! :)

And Chace got in trouble today. A little girl in his class said he liked one of the girls, (We don't allow girlfriend- boyfriend stuff, they are TOO young for that!), and she embarrassed him and he told her to be quiet and she didn't. So he threw a piece of paper at her and hit her in her eye. (She is fine.) So he was sent down to the office and our old pastor is also the principal. So the principal called Chance and Chance told him, that he shouldn't have hit a girl and to give him licks. The principal didn't really want to, but it was either that or ISS (in school suspension). So licks it was! It has been a crazy day, because Chace is NEVER called to the office, so I think this might be his last trip for awhile.

Ok, so I finally got to stamp a little today and I inked up my new Love Birds set from Wplus9 Design Studio and I LOVE this set! The two little love birds are too cute! :)

{I Love You card}

February CARDS Pubs

Hey everybody! Well today I wanted to share my first published card in the CARDS magazine. It has some of my favorite things on it, pink, black, & white color combo and Houndstooth! :) I was very excited to be in the magazine with so many talented card makers.

Today has been a very lazy day for me! It has been raining since last night, so lets just say, I think I'm about caught up on my sleep! And I took a 2 hour nap yesterday afternoon! :) So that means no crafting at all today, just taxes. I will finish those sometime. :)
Have a Blessed night!
