EBTKS Challenge #22- Around the House

Good morning! It time for our "Around the House Challenge" from EBTKS blog. And I am the host this month. And my item to use from around the house is Hair Accessories! It can be rubber bands, bobby pins, clips, etc... Just about everybody has some kind of hair accessory if they have hair or a daughter! I was at my sisters house a couple of weekends ago and we were looking through her daughters hair accessories. And I found the cutest butterfly that was made out of small rubber bands. So that got me thinking about cards and how than can be used on a card and be taken off to use as a gift too! :) And our sponsor is...Some Odd Girl! They are giving away 3 digital stamps of your choice to the winner! And they have some Cute digi stamps! So stop by their blog and check them out! :)

So here is what I came up with. Isn't that a cute rainbow?! It's the "Rainbow" from the Some Odd Girl Store. I printed out the rainbow and cut the rays and clouds apart and wrapped around different color rubber bands on the rays. And then adhered it with glue dots. It really reminds me of Rainbow Brite! Hence the sentiment! (but I think it was spelled Rainbow Brite.) :) Here is another card I made using hair accessories. That butterfly is similar to the one I saw at my sisters. And I used colored bobby pins for the flower stems too. Supplies: {Have a Rainbow Bright day! card} Cardstock: (Harvest Gold & white) PTI; Stamps: (Harold's ABC's) Lawn Fawn ; Digi stamps: (Rainbow) Some Odd Girl ; Ink: (Tuxedo Black) Memento; BG02 Copic marker ; Other: Rubber bands, glue dots, foam adhesive
{Happy Birthday Friend card} Cardstock: (White) PTI ; Stamps: sentiment (You're Dandy) Practicing Creativity, butterfly dashes (How Delightful) Lawn Fawn ; Ink: (Green) Hampton Art ; Other: Rubber bands, bobby pins, glue dots, floss
I had so much fun creating these cards! I hope you will join us over at the EBTKS challenge.
And stop by there for all the details.
Have a Blessed day!

Thank You

Good morning! WOW it feels like forever since I posted last! Lots of things going on around here, school started Monday and I have been getting caught up on paperwork, lunch dates with my hubby, crafting, and I even went and did a little shopping this past week! :)

But this morning I wanted to post a card to tell all of you Thank You for all of the prayers concerning my Aunt passing away. Ya'll are just Amazing! We have really been feeling the prayers! My Aunt's funeral was last weekend and I must say it was extremely hard! Please continue to pray for the family! I didn't mention before but my Aunt took her own life. This opens up alot of old wounds for our family, because my real Dad also took his own life on Halloween night when I was just a year old. (One of the reasons why I don't like Halloween!)

The reason why I am telling you this is because we need to reach out and pray for the people who are depressed, lonely, and who just feel lost in this world! I have been depressed before and medicine made it worse! The only thing that helped me through those dark days...was Jesus! I believe Jesus is the answer to EVERYTHING! He is the ONLY one who can help, and He uses us to reach out to people sometimes to be His hands and feet. So if you know someone who is struggling, reach out to them and pray with them and talk to them or just listen! People need to know you love them, but most importantly, they need to know Jesus loves them! Or maybe you are the one struggling, just know that Jesus loves you and wants to help you! If you need prayer, please email me and I would be honored to pray for you!

(I'll be back later to post the supplies! I ran out of time!) :)
Stop by tomorrow for another EBTKS challenge! I'll be the host this time! :)

Well I'm off to church! Have a Blessed day!

Prayers Needed!

Good morning! Well it's been awhile since my last post! Me and Chance had a great time last weekend on our little getaway to the Bed & Breakfast. We enjoyed just spending time together! I love that man! :)

Then we had some very upsetting news on Tuesday...my Aunt passed away! It was very sudden and unexpected.
I wanted to ask for prayer for my family, my Mee Mee and my Aunt's kids, husband and grandkids are taking it really bad! We will have a service with just the family tomorrow and I know it is going to be extremely hard! As some of you know, we just lost my Paw Paw in March, and my Aunt was my Mee Mee's care giver! So it is effecting all of us in so many ways! Please pray for strength & comfort in this time of sorrow.

Thank you all in advance!
Have a Blessed day!

Happy Birthday Alyssha & Somer!

Hey everybody! Well I am probably enjoying myself at the Bed & Breakfast (I typed this a few days early.) But I wanted to post this. If you haven't noticed...we have A LOT of Birthdays in August! And today is both of my sisters birthdays, but they are not twins, they are 7 years apart. I always thought that was the coolest thing! :)
My sister Somer is having her daughters birthday party today and we will be unable to make it, since we already had plans this weekend. We will be going to visit Sunday for the day when we leave the Bed & Breakfast. So since I won't see them on their birthday, I sent their cards in the mail. I already posted my sister Alyssha's card here, but I wanted to share Somers card today. I made all their cards when I got Lawn Fawn's new stamps in and it just so happens they will have a swimming party! :) So it worked out great and these stamps are so much fun to play with!
I don't wear two piece swim suits anymore for modesty reasons, but in my younger days...this would have been the swim suit I would want! :)Here is a pic of my Mom, my sister Alyssha, my sister Somer, and me. It was taken about 2 years ago after church on Mother's Day. (I have a layout using this pic that I have been meaning to post and haven't had time, I hope to post it soon.) And can you believe I am the baby of the family?! My sisters are so short! :) My brother is missing in the pic, he was at his church that day, but he is a little taller than me.Supplies: Cardstock: Orange Zest, white, Hawaiian Shores ; Stamps: swimsuit- Swimsuit Season (Lawn Fawn), sentiment- You're Dandy (Practicing Creativity), polka dots- Polka Dot Basics II (PTI), houndstooth- Hero Arts ; Ink: Versamark (Watermark), Basic Black (SU!) ; Other: circle cutter (Martha Stewart), white embossing powder (Filligree), corner rounder (EK Success), circle punch (for waves)- EK Success, foam adhesive

Happy Birthday Alyssha & Somer! I love ya'll! :)

I hope you all have a Blessed day!

Happy Birthday Kaylie & Kylie!

Hey everybody! Well as you can tell...I haven't gotten back to my regular blog posting yet! I have had lots of projects to finish this week. I'm trying to get all the lose ends tied before me and Chance go for a weekend getaway to a Bed & Breakfast! Woo Hoo! I can't wait to just sit around with my honey and rest and enjoy each other! :) My wonderful MIL will be keeping the kids, Thanks Cindy! :)

Some of the projects I have been working on are for these little girls here. (I will be posting those soon.) These are my sweet little nieces, Kylie, Gracie, & Kaylie. This pic was taken on our 'Girls Weekend'! Don't they look adorable?! Of course I was telling them how to pose! :) Today is Kylie & Kaylie's 5th Birthday! I wanted to share this adorable pic of my sister Somer and the twins when they were just a couple of days old. Yes they were really that big at birth! My sister is about 5ft. 2in. and about 110 lbs. She had a 7lb. 3oz. baby & a 6 lbs. 9 oz. baby (I hope I got the weights right! ;) ) I think she gained like 30 lbs. and NO stretch marks! I know...can you believe that?! She is Amazing! :) Everyone always thought me and Somer were twins (some people still do!), because we are only 14 months apart in age. I always say that I guess I looked like the "dumb" twin in the year book, always 2 years behind her! :) So when she really had twins...it was so cool! :) She really is a great Momma! :) Here is Kaylie's card. They are having a swimming party for their birthday, but I didn't know that when I made this card. They took swimming lessons a couple of weeks ago, so I was thinking 'No more floaties'! :) I used one of the sketches from the Go to Sketches magazine from Paper Crafts! I Love that magazine! I have made several cards from the sketches lately, I will be posting those soon too! :)And here is Kylie's!

Supplies: Cardstock: Lavender Moon, Hawaiian Shores, Melon Berry, White (Papertrey Ink) ; Stamps: floaties & splashes- Swimsuit Season & name- Harold's ABCs- (Lawn Fawn), waves- Hooked On You (Wplus9 Design Studio), Happy Birthday sentiment- You're Dandy (Practicing Creativity) ; Ink: Pink Grapefruit, Spring Pansy (VersaMagic, Basic Black (SU!) ; Ribbon: Black sheer (unknown) ; Other: Corner rounder (EK Success) , circle cutter (Martha Stewart)

Well I guess that's it for tonight! I wanted to post this before 12:00 am! :)

Have a Blessed night!
