Tuesday Trigger Challenge

Hey everybody! Well Chace is finished with football! I forgot to tell ya'll about Chace's game last week, they learned a new play, and they tried it for the first time in the game. The quarterback threw Chace a pass and Chace ran toward the end zone and caught the ball and ran it in for a touchdown! The pass and the run, was a total of 55 yards! It was amazing! Then last night for their playoff game, he ran another touchdown, so he had 3 touchdowns for the season! Not bad for his first year of football! :) The team Autumn cheers for is still in the plays offs for the next 2 weeks, so I guess that means more football games, at least they don't have practice during the week anymore! We will have a little break until January and then they start basketball! :)
Well I have a card for you today for the Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger! My good blog friend Courtney came up with the Tuesday Trigger this week with this cute little owl pillow as inspiration, I love the colors and I love owls! So here is my simple little owl card!

Blankets

Hello Friends! I am finally posting these blanket pics! I told you they aren't great, but you couldn't tell it from my kids! They LOVE 'em! They wanted something soft and Chace loves silky material! I have a silky shirt I wear to church and when I wear it, he rubs his face on it the whole time! :) So when I saw this material, I had to show him! They both decided on the soft & silky! I wish you could feel the fabric, they are sooo soft! I bought two yards of each! I've never really sewn anything that big, so I really didn't know what I was doing! But I figured it out and two hours later, they had two new blankets! :) Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest, we have had some crazy rain lately, (great weather for my boots) and how do you photograph a blanket anyway?! Well we have a football game tonight at 7, so we had our family movie last night, we do that instead of Trick or Treating! :) We had a great time! Well, I some stuff to do today, before the game tonight, so I gotta go! But don't forget about the Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge, click here to bring you to Kelly Marie's blog for more details and Mr Linky!
All fabric bought from JoAnn's.

Everything But The Kitchen Sink Challenge #2

Good morning! Well it's time again for another Everything But The Kitchen Sink Challenge! :) This month, the talented Kelly is hosting the challenge! She has asked us to use "Toilet Paper"! My first thought was, "what I'm I going to make?" But after some brain storming, I finally came up with an idea! I decided to make a Kleenex box and some used Kleenex's for a get well card! So really give it some thought, and I bet ya'll will have some great ideas! I can't wait to see what ya'll come up with! :) For this week, the winner will receive a stamp set from A Muse "simple celebrations" set and a stamp set from American Crafts "fun" set! And we will start something new this time and have 5 domestic divas to highlight too! Woo Hoo! So get out the toilet paper and get crafty! :) You have until Sunday Nov. 8 to post your project using toilet paper over at Kelly's blog. But don't forget to check out all the other ladies cards too!
Chace has a football game tomorrow, and we usually do our family movie night instead of Trick or Treating, but we changed it to tonight! We love movie night! :) And stop by tomorrow, I'll be posting my blanket pics! :)Kelly

Oh, Houndstooth, how I love thee!

Well Hello! Ok, if you read my blog you will know how much I LOVE houndstooth! I might have went over board, I don't know! :) I bought these from Target.com, and I can't wait for the rain today, so I can wear them! :) I also bought a Houndstooth Cuttlebug folder yesterday for my Big Shot! So I decide to make a card to celebrate my boots! (I know, I'm goofy!) I decided not to add a sentiment, I think it would make a good birthday card, or something! I rubbed my ink pad over the embossed image, I think it worked pretty well! Also, check back early tomorrow, for the new Everything But The Kitchen Sink Challenge! And I took pics of the blankets, so I will try and post them too! :)Supplies:

Cards- Christmas Goodies

Hello! How have ya'll been? I have been pretty tired. I stay up way to late and get up early, and having weekends packed full, it catches up with you! I mentioned last week that I was going to make my kids some blankets. It's not a quilt, (I have to learn how first), it's just blankets! Well they picked out the fabric, and we probably could have bought blankets for cheaper, but that's the fabric they wanted! So I decided yesterday evening to sew them! It took about 2 hours to do both of them! Not bad, when I didn't really know what I was going to do! I just figured it out as I went! I didn't get to take pics of them yet, I will try tomorrow! But the kids LOVE them!I do have a few cards that I want to share with ya'll today, that I made a couple of weeks ago! Card- Celebrate Today

Hey everybody! Sorry for no post yesterday, as some of ya'll know we had Autumn's cheer competition yesterday! Well they got 4th out of I think 7 schools! Not to bad, they needed to do more tumbling! Autumn can't quite do her back hand spring on her own yet without a spotter, so she couldn't do it in the routine! But they really did great, all the squad was very "together", just what they have been working on, so I guess it payed off! They did get a trophy too! There was 3 different levels, (Pre-K, K & 1st) , (2nd, 3rd, 4th), (5th & 6th, 7th). We had a squad in every level from our school, the first level brought home 2nd place, the second level brought home 3rd, and the 3rd level brought home 4th! Our school has been involved with the competitions for the past 3 years, and every level has placed and gotten a trophy every year! Not bad! :)
On to crafty stuff... Well I made this card for our employee's fiance'e, but since this past weekend, it is now his wife! :) I made it for her a couple of weeks ago for her birthday, and I really liked it! I used some of the zebra print fabric that I bought at WalMart and made one of the cute flowers from Heather Bailey's blog! You really should check out her fabric, I bought some a couple of weeks ago, it is really nice! :) So here's the card! And don't forget to check back on Friday for a new Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge, it's going to be fun! :)
Supplies:
Cardstock- (Recollections) aqua
Stamps- (PTI) polka dot basics II, mega mixed messages
Ink- (VersaMagic) white, (StazOn) jet black

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #18 , M's Sketch #2

Hello friends! Well today will be a busy day, so I thought I would post this before I left for the games! I made this card for Dawn's new color challenge and using Savitri's sweet daughter M's sketch! I really enjoyed making this card! I love the colors, I think it's because it has Raspberry pink in it, which is my favorite color! :) I really wanted Autumn to make a card too, but she has had cheer practice everyday this week! I think she is done with practice now, so maybe she can make one next week for the challenge! Well Autumn has her Cheer Competition tomorrow, so we will be busy all day again, but I will let ya'll know how they do! So here is the card, I have alot to do before the games today! Ya'll have a very Blessed weekend! :) Supplies:

Embellish the Cure Color Challenge with Bling and CARDS blog challenge

Well Hello! I would say TGIF, but we have a very busy weekend! We have a family reunion that we cannot attend, our employee is getting married and we cannot attend, all because of FOOTBALL games! I am so ready for football and cheerleading to be over! :) We would miss the games so we could attend the other events, but so many players have already quit! We really need the players, so we are going to the games! We just found out that Chace's team and the team Autumn cheers for, is going to playoffs! So that means at least one more game next weekend, and if they win, there will be more! This season is like the Energizer Bunny, " it keeps going and going and going!" :) Oh well, they are only kids once! :)
Well today I wanted to share a card I made for my sister's MIL. She just found out this week that she has breast cancer. When I heard the news, I just wanted to let her know that I would be praying for her, then I see that Ashley and the girls had another challenge for us, and that is just what I needed to make her this card! The challenge was Embellish the Cure Color Challenge with Bling! We are to use the colors fuschia, light pink and grey and use bling! Look at the pretty pictures and colors, it is one of my most favorite color combos and I think I need those shoes! :) I also submitted it to the CARDS blog Challenge, where we are to use lots of white space and a some type of collage! My card wasn't showcased over at the CARDS blog, but some of my friends cards were! Kelley, Sarah, & Kim and alot of other talented ladies! So go by and check them out! (The inside of the card reads... "The task ahead of us is never as great as the power behind it!" I also wanted to share the meaning of the word "Hope". Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. Hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that the events turn out for the best. That is encouraging to me, so if there is someone out there reading this and needs some encouragement, just remember that God can give you Hope through any circumstance! Supplies:
Cardstock- (PTI) sweet blush, (Georgia Pacific) white
Stamps- (PTI) polka dot basics II, (The Paper Company) faith greetings
Ink- (PTI) smokey shadow, (SU!) Pink passion
Other- (Recollections) pink rhinestones, (Fiskars) upper crest border punch

Have a Blessed day!

sewing

Hey everybody! Well it has been raining like crazy here today! We even had some flash flood watches! It stopped now and it got colder! I like it a little bit cold, but not REAL cold! We have taken vacations in Colorado and New Mexico in February when it still snowing, but to me it feels colder in Texas! We were in short sleeve shirt while it was snowing there, but here the air feels wet! Anyway, I am enjoying the cool air!
I wanted to share a shirt I made for Autumn last week for the Homecoming game. We are the Warren Warriors and ours colors are orange, black, & white! It is a little bit big on her, so that means I can wear it too! I think I might wear it to the Cheerleading competition this weekend! This is my first time sewing a shirt like this! It was alot of fun! :) Well here it is! :) (The colors look better in person, Blogger does something weird!) :)
Supplies:
T-shirt, Zebra fabric, and rhinestones- WalMart
Orange polka dot fabric- JoAnn's
Pattern for letters cut from Cricut

Moxie Fab Ruffle Challenge (#2)

Hey everybody! Happy Wednesday! Well my kids get out of school early today at 12:30! The high school's principal and a 1st grade teacher's dad past away, and there wasn't enough substitutes to cover all the teacher's going to be out for the funeral! So I guess we are going to JoAnn's to purchase some fabric! My kids LOVE to wrap up in a blanket and in their PJ's on the couch, (this is how we spend alot of our free time at home together)! :) We don't really celebrate Halloween anymore, we usually have a festival at church, but last year we stayed home and had a family night! I put the air mattress in the living room, bought us all new PJ's (instead of a costume), lots of candy, popcorn, cokes, and pizza and we watched movie's all night! The kids LOVED it! They asked if we could do it every year! :) I have been wanting to make them a quilt, but that will have to wait until I have more time! But for now, I want to make them a blanket for when they are sitting on the couch! They have some SOFT material at JoAnn's, so I think I will go today and let them pick out the fabric they want and just spend the day together! Neither one of them have practice today and we have church at the nursing home tonight, so it should be a great day! :) I thought I would share another card I made for the Moxie Fab Ruffle Challenge! I just love ribbon and lace! Supplies:
Patterned paper- (DCWV) La Creme stack
Cardstock- (Georgia Pacific) white
Stamp- (PTI) mega mixed messages
Ink- (StazOn) jet black
Ribbon- (Offray) burgundy satin
Lace- (JoAnn's)

Moxie Fab Ruffle Challenge

Hey everybody! WOW, I have some great blog friends! How can anyone not have a great 30th, with sweet comment that ya'll leave?! Just Amazing! :) My family and church family were so sweet too! My husband and kids asked me what I wanted for my birthday, and of course I wanted something crafty! So he asked if he could buy it at a store or online, I told him online would probably have a better deal! So he said well, order it! So I got on Overstock.com and found a BIG SHOT! The shipping was $2.95! I looked at other sites and the shipping was $29.95, no way was I paying that! :) So I hope to have a Big Shot at my house next week! :) Then one of my best friends from church bought me a new purse and wallet! She always knows what I like, you can't go wrong with a purse! And my MIL bought me a gift certificate to a little shop that has cute jewelery and stuff! And another sweet lady at church gave me money! All the kids in Sunday school made me cards (including my kids), and some of my sweet blog friends too! I am so overwhelmed, with the love that I feel! Thank You!

Another happy thing is, my card was picked on the "What's HOT List" over at Embellish magazine! Thanks Ashley, Sarah, and Charlene! So today I wanted to share a couple of cards that I needed to make for a Wedding and a Thank You card. I decided to enter them in the Moxie Fab Ruffle Challenge. My Birthday Celebration

Hey everybody! Thank you all so much for the Birthday wishes and Blessings! It really means so much to me! :) I thought it was going to be really hard hitting 30, but it was really not bad so far! We had a great day at Church, and and a relaxing day at home afterward, then my husband cooked me Chinese food for supper! SO GOOD!! :) (I had a fork close by too!) My daughter made me a cake, it was a yellow cake with chocolate icing, (my favorite) and she made the candles in the shape of 30! :) It was so GOOD too!
I'm a little embarrassed to say that we had a little photo shoot at home yesterday! I wanted to capture my 30th Birthday, my kids need pictures of their Momma in the scrapbook albums, and I have a scrapbook page in mind! I am usually the one behind the camera, so I felt like a nerd taking these! :) My daughter was the photographer, she kept saying "Work it Girl"! :) My husband and son took a couple too! :) So I thought I would share a couple with you, I guess... just because! :)
Well that finally it!! :)

I hope ya'll have a very Blessed day!
