Happy Earth Day...Hug A Tree!

Happy Earth Day! I FINALLY got to make a card today! I haven't made one in about a week! So I decided Earth Day was a great day to make a card...you know why not waste more paper! :) But I did use all scraps...paper and ribbon. I bought these pins about two years ago from the Target $ bin and I have only used a couple. So I thought now was a good time to use one! I distressed the edges and frayed my ribbon. Oh my.... doing that to the ribbon was VERY hard for me to do! :) The card came together really quick since everything was scraps. The only thing I had to stamp was the leaves and cutting them out was the longest part of the whole card. So I am submitting this card the Jessica Witty's 10 minute scrap challenge! I always want to do these challenges, because I NEVER throw away scraps, but I seem to never find the time. I know 10 minute cards don't require much, but washing my husband some clean underwear seems to be hard for me to get done right now! :)

Supplies: Cardstock- (PTI) spring moss, (Paper reflections) brown ; Stamps- (PTI) turning a new leaf, (All night media) woodgrain ; Ink- (PTI) spring moss, (Versamark) watermark ; Ribbon- (Offray) black satin ; Other- (Target $ bin) Earthday pin, (Heidi Swapp) edge distressor

Yesterday was Secretary's Day and look what my husband brought me home! He got them from a customer's house. Yes you read that right, somebody is always giving him something! The lady wanted to show him her garden she has been working on. He said it was beautiful! He told her my wife would loves those, can I bring her one? She said of course, so he brought me these and brought his Mom one because she is a secretary at there company, and her boss (her husband) didn't get her anything! I sure wish you could smell over the computer how GOOD these smell! Seriously, it's like someone sprayed the smell on them! I have them sitting right beside me so I can smell their goodness! :)

Well I better go, I still have a little bit of our taxes left to do, and if you are wondering...yes we filed an extension! :) Please say a prayer for Chace today, I have to bring him into the Dr. today. He started getting a little rash on him and it gets more bumps everyday. The school nurse seems to think it is poison ivy, so we are going today to get it looked at. I'm sure he is fine, but I don't want him to have to get any shots or anything! Thanks in advance! :)

Have a Blessed day!

Oh Winter, this card is so sweet. I just love everything about it. I will be praying for CHace and looking for an update. I had Poison ivy bad a couple years ago and was given some topical stuff that was awesome. No shots needed :)

Awesome 10 minute card! I bought a bunch of pins in the dollar bin and just gave them away during my clean out. Hmmm... didn't think of using them in the middle of a bow... dang... wish I hadn't given those away! Oh well... I guess I can get more! :)
