Nuts About You Cards & A Card Drive update

Hey everybody! I wanted to show you all my "Nuts about you" cards, because there are alot of them! :)

I really love these stamps! :)

Well the cards haven't been coming in too fast, the last couple of days. In fact I didn't get any packages on Wednesday and one small package yesterday! It's definitely not the normal for this close to the end, I'm hoping that everyone is finishing them up and that they will be here by next week?! :)  It would be a GREAT weekend project to do and then ship them to me by next week! So please spread the word and encourage people to send them.
As it looks right now, we will probably meet our minimum goal, but we probably won't beat last year's totals (which means we can't send extras or find new places to send to). I'm sure alot of people are busy and might not have time to make any. It looks like I might be even more busy this weekend and making more cards. I would rather have more, than not enough!
I really don't get stressed about it anymore, because I feel the Lord will provide what we need! I've had a couple hospitals decline cards this year because of sickness, so please, if you are sick, don't send any cards. I don't want to spread the germs to the kids. I have found a few more places to send cards to, so that's always nice! :)
Well it's time for me to package more cards up, the end of the Card Drive is near! :)
ETA: Look what was at the mail box today...more cards! Yay! Ask and you shall receive! :)

Have a Blessed day!

Cute Critter Cards

Hey everybody! I'm back today to share some of my Cute Critter cards! I LOVE these stamps SO much and they were so fun to color! The pictures aren't the greatest, my light box is at my office and I was at my house taking these this weekend.

This sentiment did not come with the set, but I found it the other day at Michael's and I thought it was cute! I used the same mustache from the stamp and cut it out of black paper and made the raccoon a big mustache too! ;)

I loved coloring these little foxes! :)

I bought another stamp set the other day and I thought it would be perfect for little maze games to add to the inside of my cards. So as my family and I were watching Maze Runner the other night, I was making a bunch of these! Here's my assembly line! ;)

And here they are added to the inside, with just a small glue dot.

Well that is it today, I have more cards to share, but I will save those for another day. :) All these cards will go to the children for the Cards from the Heart Card Drive. If you haven't made or sent your cards in, there is still time! I need them by Jan. 31, so I can get them sent off for the children for Valentine's Day! So get busy! I guarantee, you will have so much fun making them and the reward of giving those kids something to smile about when they receive them.....is Priceless! ♡
Have a Blessed Day!

Some of my cards!

Hey everybody! I wanted to stop in real quick and show some of the cards I've made for the Card Drive! A couple months before the Card Drive starts, I stamp a BUNCH of images and just color, color, color, with my Copics! Then I make all my cards! My goal is to try and do 100, but I usually go over! :) So for me to do that many, I have to do an assembly line style and usually I have several that are the same or very similar., maybe just different color! So here are a few I've done. I wish the sun would come out, so I could get better pics, but whatever, I guess?! :)

I recently got some new stamps, so I've been coloring those images and I hope to show ya'll those soon! :) The cards have still been coming in, and I'm sure these next few weeks will be BUSY, so you won't hear from me much! If you are still wanting to help with making cards, you still have time! If you want to be a sponsor, or know someone who wants to be, just let me know! Thanks for all of the cards I've already collected and Thanks for the Sponsors that have already donated! If you have a hospital in mind, that you want us to donate cards to, Please let me know! If you have a contact email, that would be GREAT! Then I wouldn't have to search their webpage and send it to the wrong contact person! :) Thanks for all of your help and I hope ya'll have a Great day! :)

"Cards From the Heart Card Drive" 2015

Happy New Year! :) It's time for the 6th Annual Valentine's Day Card Drive!

It's my Blogs 6th year anniversary this month, and I don't know a better way to celebrate it, but having another Card Drive for all those precious kids on Valentine's Day! I will be collecting cards for many Hospitals and hope to add more! :)
Last year's Card Drive was a HUGE success! We collected 4,250 cards and sent them to 12 hospitals, 1 foster home, and a little girl who was fighting cancer and she unfortunately passed away shortly after we sent her cards! :'( I pray that the cards might have brought a little bit more happiness and love into her life! I'm also praying that this year, the card drive is even better and reaches even more kids! :)

As always, here are some of the guidelines from the hospital's and a few of mine. (Please read carefully.)
* Cards need to be a Valentine theme.
* Cards can't have anything about 'Get Well Soon', 'Feel Better', or anything reminding them of being sick. (Only Valentine Cards)
* Please make cards that can be used for any gender or age. (This could be a little tricky, but I think you can handle it!) :)
* No buttons, glitter, or anything that can be pulled off and become a chocking hazard.
* Cards MUST be able to fit into a 4 1/2 X 5 3/4 envelope (A2 size, but can be smaller, just not bigger). I CANNOT use them if they are bigger! (I will provide clear envelopes for each card, so there is no need to send one with your card.) The clear envelopes make it easier when they hand them out to the kids.
* You can include a message in the inside, but please remember, nothing reminding them of being sick. (Maybe just a Valentine sentiment.) You can also sign your first name and what state you are from ONLY, no last names and cities! No religious sentiments either, as most of the hospitals are non denominational in their beliefs.
* And Do Not add your blog addresses to your cards! Some hospitals have rules against patients knowing who the donors are.
*I will be excepting cards for the whole month of January. ( Jan. 1 - Jan. 31, Please don't send any after that, because I have to send them off so they will get to the hospitals in time for Valentine's Day. And please make sure you allow enough time for shipping as well.) At the end of the month, I will draw names for prizes. The more cards you send, the more times your name goes into the drawing to win prizes. Let your kids get involved too! I will be adding more prizes and sponsors, often.  :)
* Please send a piece of paper with your name, address, email address, and the amount of cards you sent. (It will help when I have the drawings.) A lot of the prizes will be sent from the sponsor, so I NEED to have your email address for sure!
*Please send cards to me at:

Winter Sims
"Cards From the Heart Card Drive"
P.O. Box 754
Warren, TX 77664

* If anyone wants to donate a prize for the drawings, please email me with the details at wintersims1@aol.com .
*You are welcome to use the Card Drive badge on your blog to spread the word, just remember to save it to your computer first.

*If you have a hospital in mind that might want some cards, please send me the contact info and I will email them.

*Sponsor Page*

I know it seems like there are A LOT of rules, but they are the hospital's rules and we want to obey them, to keep the kids safe. So I hope you will join us again for another great year and help us put some smiles on those sweet kids faces on Valentines Day! :)

If you have any questions, please just send me and email at:

Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine Special Thanks Blog Hop

Hey everybody! Welcome to the Paper Crafts Farewell Blog Hop! You should have come from Sarah's blog Here or to start from the beginning of the hop, go to Jennifer's blog Here.
As most of you know Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine is closing down! :'( It was a very sad day for all of us, the day we heard! Paper Crafts magazine has been SUCH an inspiration to me
and helped make some dreams come true! :) I've had numerous cards chosen for their magazines, had the privilege of being asked to participate in special issues and even had some chosen, won some challenges, had a card featured on their blog, was in the Top 15 of the Gallery Idol a few years ago! And SO many friends made along the way! And not to mention how the magazine inspired me TREMENDOUSLY!!!
All this to say, I am SO Thankful and Blessed to be a part of something that was a
Huge accomplishment to me in my life! One of my dreams was to have a card on the cover, and now I'm sad to say, that it will never happen with Paper Crafts magazine! :( I haven't submitted any cards in a while and I truly regret that now! Life got busy and I just ran out of time. But, I'm still happy that my kids saw my work in them and that I can show my Grandkids the magazines one day and they will see my work and name in them. I'm sure they won't think it's real "cool", but I will! ;)

I am also VERY grateful for the continued support of PC&S for sponsoring the "Cards From the Heart Card Drive", I have for the children's hospitals on Valentine's Day! They are always so grateful in giving prizes! I am forever Grateful! Thank you!

Here is a pic of me holding all the magazines that had my cards in them. I had a pic of me holding the first issue I was published in, but that picture is now stuck on my old laptop! :(

And here is a picture of the card I made for the people at PC&S.

Thank you all SO much for being in my life, and making this girls dream come true, in having a card published and her name in print. And also, for giving to the Card Drive. My vision in helping those children, wouldn't have been fulfilled, if it wasn't for Generous Sponsors like you!
Praying that all of you find jobs that you LOVE, because anyone would be lucky to have you! :)
I will miss you all! ♡

Amber's blog is your next stop, Here!
Thanks for stopping by! :)
