Baseball Gifts

Hey everyone! This is what I've been up to! I have been meaning to share these projects with you that I have been working on the past week. We had a party for my son's baseball team on Saturday, they went swimming and ate cupcakes, and handed out trophies. So I wanted to make them a little something, because that's what I love to do! :) I looked for popcorn buckets already made and could not find any, so I found a template for these popcorn buckets online, and I traced them on shirt boxes. I found that it is a little bit more sturdy than card stock and cheap, and a package of 3 boxes, can make 6 buckets. I then printed off a popcorn bucket from a program on my computer that had the scallops, so I traced them on there too. I then cut it out and glued it together and then traced the red lines on it. I printed off the word POP CORN from my computer and just glued it on too, I put Cracker Jacks, sunflower seeds, and bubble gum in each one. I put the gum in a little Ziploc bag, and made a topper to go on each one with the words, "Way To Go", stamped on it. I also made these cute little cards with this cute little boy stamp on it. I stamped the "W" on the helmet though. The stamp is from Pink Cat Studio, the stamp is called Sporty Billy, go by there, they have some really cute stamps and they are offering a digistamp in remembrance to a cute little boy named Ethan. Go by and check it out, it is for a great cause! I colored the little boys with color pencils I bought with a 40% off coupon from JoAnn's. I didn't have a peach one, so I just left their flesh all white. I tried to keep them the same color as their baseball suits. I really want to invest in some Copics though, I think it just gives it a better look. I just typed their names from my computer too, I also made these cute little baseball cards from a computer program I have and printed them and put them in these baseball card folders and they fit perfect in the inside of the card. I made all the boys one, I would show you the other cards, but they have their last names and pictures on them and their parents might not want them posted. Sorry this is such a long post, I just wanted to give some of the details. Well here they are! Here is the front of the baseball card.

Here is the back.Have a Blessed Day!

Scribble This Challenge #3

ETA: I just went to Lisa's blog to put in the link, and it was closed! I thought I had until tonight for the deadline, but I guess I was wrong! Oh well, I still learned something! Thanks Lisa! :)
Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a great weekend! We went to the Houston Astros baseball game last night and had a great time!! I will share some pictures later. We got home around 1:30 a.m. and had to get up early this morning for a baseball party for my son Chace's team. So we are really tired! We own an A/C & Heating company here in Texas and it has been 100 degrees everyday this week and we haven't had rain in almost a month, so it is HOT!! So my husband had to go fix some more A/C today, he hasn't had a day off in weeks. He usually doesn't work at all on Sunday's, but here lately, after he preaches at church on Sunday, he has to go fix someones A/C, so today I think I'll Bar-B-Que for him today! :)

I made this card the other night for Lisa's Scribble This Challenge.. I am using the GIMP program and there isn't an automatic setting, so I had to do it manually. It was a little hard for me to see the difference in the before and after, but I do see that it is a little sharper! So Thanks Lisa! Both of my sister's share the same birthday, but 7 yrs. apart, so now all I need is one more for their birthday's in August. I bought a kit from ColorBox last weekend from Marshall's for $7.00, I really like the papers it has in it, so I decided to use some on my card. The kit comes in a box, it is so cute, here is a picture of it too! So here it is!

It's that box so cute with the scallops?!

Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #10

ETA: Well for some reason the last three weeks when I go to post my link to Dawn's Challenge, it links to my Blogger account! I don't know why it's doing it, it never has in the past, so anyway it was posted in time, but I don't know if that still counts. I did leave a comment for Dawn, so we'll see! I usually check to make sure it works, but I was trying to beat the deadline, and it did show my name, so I guess I just assumed it worked! I just wish everyone could see my sweet little girl in her dress that matches perfect for the challenge!! :) Oh well, it will be alright either way! :)
NEW ETA:Dawn saved the day, it works now! Thanks Dawn!! :)

Here's a quick post again! I decided to do a layout with these colors from Dawn's color challenge. I have been wanting to send a picture of this dress to Kristina, for her color challenge, it really has great colors, so now I don't need to send it, the colors Dawn picked are perfect! :) I made my daughter "Autumn" dress-up to take this picture! How cute is she, and those shoes?! I'm glad our feet are the same size! :) I don't know about ya'll, but it is really hard to take pictures of layouts! Does anyone have any secrets to make them better? If you do, please let me know! Thanks! :)

Paper- melon, cream, berry, dark brown cs
Ink-ColorBox Chalk Ink- dark brown

New Camera :)

How SWEET is my husband?! I have been wanting a new camera for awhile now, and I have researched alot! My Dad bought my mom a Canon over 20 yrs. ago and she still has it! It still takes beautiful pictures! So I knew that a Canon was the way to go! Our anniversary was Saturday, so today my husband took me to get a new Camera! I LOVE it already! My old camera is a Kodak Easy Share with 5 Mega Pixels, it has taken some good pictures, but it's very limited! I have had it for about 4 yrs., it was time for a new one! My new one is a Canon EOS Rebel T1i with 15.1 Mega Pixels. I'm so EXCITED!!! :) I got a package deal and it came with the camera with 18-55 mm lens, a 55-250mm image stabilizer lens, 2 batteries, charger, strap, UV lens, and a carrying case. Well here is a picture of my new one and all my goodies (taken with my old camera).

I got some new stamps in today, so I hope to get some projects finished that I have been working on! Have a Blessed Night!

Color Chef Challenge #11

OK, last post today! :) We're going out to eat tonight, so I need to go get ready! Here is a card I made for Color Chef Challenge. I was supposed to use white and tan (bamboo). I took some pictures inside with natural light and it made it look orange, so I went outside and took some it in the sunlight after we went swimming (you can see the pool in the background). It did help a little bit. I'm not completely happy with the card, it feels like it is missing something, and I thought it was hard to only use the two colors, but it's nice to try something new! :) So here is the card!

Supplies:
Paper- The Paper Company
Stamp- Stampendous!- Happy Messages, Stampabilities- Polka Dot Background
Ink- SU!-Versamark- watermark
Accessories- white satin ribbon, Martha Stewart- butterfly punch

Hey, I'm back again! Here is a card I made for my husband's Birthday tomorrow! We got him baseball tickets to go see his favorite team, the Houston Astros!! We are going to the game next Friday, it's going to be so fun! I figured a baseball theme would work perfect! I stamped "Enjoy the Game" inside and I will put the baseball tickets inside too! I hope he likes it! Supplies:

Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #9

Here's a quick post for Dawn's Color Challenge! I'm trying to get it in before the deadline ends! I'll be back later with the detail's!!

ETA:
OK, I'm back! Sorry, It seemed like everything that could go wrong with making this card, did go wrong!! :) I found the design idea from here. When I saw her card it almost had the same colors, so I thought it would be perfect for this challenge! Her card is way better than mine, but hey, I tried! First of all I found a pear on my computer to print out and make a template from, then I realized, I had no black thread! So I ran to the Dollar Store down the road, because I live in a small town, and that is the biggest store we have! :) Just so you know, NEVER BUY THREAD FROM THE DOLLAR STORE!! It is a waste of time and money! But hey, I was desperate! Then I get home and see that the deadline is soon, I don't know what the time change is, but it was 7:00 p.m. here and the deadline was at 9:00 p.m.. I thought the deadline was tomorrow! Well I still had to thread a bobbin and needle, (which took FOREVER), then the thread kept breaking! So I just stitched it with no thread and used a black marker to make faux stitching. So don't look to close, I was in a hurry! Then when I tried to post it, it wouldn't work, so after the third time trying it finally worked. I want to make another card like this one, when I'm not in such a hurry! :) Well I hope ya'll like it!

Supplies:

Paper- My Mind's Eye- patterned paper, SU!- green cs, The Paper Company- black & cream cs

Ink- StazOn- jet black for Thickers

Accessories- Offray- cream satin ribbon, circle punch, pear printed from computer, stitching marks from sewing machine, black marker for faux stitching

Have a Blessed night!

I WON

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some exciting news with ya'll! I made some cards for the digiments challenge here and here. They randomly picked two winners, to win their new release stamps. I WON!!! There are 30 stamps and they are amazing! Go by there and check them out! I hope to make some cards soon and use the sentiments! I didn't get to make any cards yesterday or today, we have a lady at our church (I have mentioned her before), she is 80 yrs. old and gets around great! But they think she had a heart attack on Friday, so she has been in the hospital, she is doing good, but her Dr being out of town has slowed things down a bit! So we have been going to visit her the last couple of days. So if you could, please keep her in your prayers, her name is Ms. Jean.
I hope to be back tomorrow for a post for Dawn's Color Challenge!
Have a Blessed Night!

Challenges

Hey! I'm back again! This is the first time I have ever combined three challenges into one. This card is for the Scribble This Challenge #2, where we are to work on color levels. If you want to learn more about taking pictures and making them look their best, go by and check out these challenges! First of all, I have taken about 1,000 pictures of this card! The lighting just seems to be great today for pictures (not good for a challenge working on color levels)! :) I did get a couple of darker pictures, these are the only ones that I used the eye dropper tool on, the other's turned TOO white. The other Challenge is for Digiments. That is where I got this great sentiment, they have some great ones over there! Go by and check them out! The next one is for Color Chef Challenge #10, where we are suppose to use the colors Black, White, and a punch of color (our choice). I just found this challenge yesterday and thought I would play along! Go by there and check it out, challenges are always fun! :) I made this card for my wonderful husband for our anniversary coming up on June 20. I tried to make it manly, I used scor lines and used little dots like Ashley did on her card. I hope he likes it!

Here are two of the darker before pictures.
Here are the same pictures with both steps done.

Here are some more pictures, with just the first step.
Supplies:
Paper- Turquoise, white, and black cs
Stamp- Studio G, PTI-mega mixed messages
