Prayer Request & Card- Miss You

Hey everybody! Here I am posting late again! It's 12:00 am, (and wonder why I'm always tired) ! :) Anyway, my son started his baseball tournament tonight, is it just me, or is 8:30 pm late for 8 year old's to play a baseball game?! Well they won, now they will play two more games tomorrow, they have to lose two games to be eliminated. So it will be a long HOT day tomorrow, we only have maybe a week of Spring weather here in Texas!

I wanted to ask for prayer for our little town. Two boys (16 & 17) were driving at a high speed after school, and passed a school bus on the road, when they did, they lost control of the truck and it flipped several times. They were thrown from the truck, one died and one was life flighted. All the kids on the bus saw it, so please pray for the families, friends, and the kids that saw it all!

Now talking about this card, doesn't seem as important! Just remember to show and tell your family EVERYDAY that you LOVE them!

I finshed the projects I have been working on, waiting till morning to get better lighting for pictures! :) Here's the card!
Supplies:

Paper- Scraps from stash

Stamp- PaperTrey Ink- Mega mixed messages, Autumn Leaves- flowers

Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #7

I'm back again with another color challenge! This one is from Dawn's. I really loved these colors together, but I found it hard to find those colors in my stash! I tried to get the colors as close as possible, and it was hard to get my picture to show the right colors, but overall I really like the card in real life! :) Look how pretty the flowers are in Dawn's inspiration picture, so I just had to use my rose stamp. and I used white card stock to make the flower really pop! Check out the polka dot paper at the bottom of the card. I didn't have a polka dot stamp, so I stamped a pencil eraser with Versamark watermark and then clear embossed it. :) I guess you gotta do what you gotta do! ( I did buy a polka dot stamp today!) :) Ok, here's it is! Recipe:
Paper- My Mind's Eye, Colorbok, Deja Views- paper & CS, homemade polka dot paper
Stamp- The Paper Studio- faith stamps, Rubber Stampede- Rose design stamp, pencil eraser :)

My husband and son went on a Father & son camping trip on Friday Night and all day Saturday (they had a great time), and my daughter went to her Grandma's house Friday and came home late that night, then she went back the next day. I had all night Friday and all day Saturday to craft. I wanted to go shopping on Saturday, but I decided to wait until Monday for the Memorial Day Sales! We went to a fish fry Sunday after church, it was so nice outside, we had a great time! I did go shopping today for the Memorial Day sales and I also used my coupons at every store I went to. So I was happy about that! :)

While I was home by myself, I made LOTS of cards. I have been making cards for church and I tried to just use scraps, because I have so many!! I will be sharing those soon! I also got to make some cards for the color challenge. I made this one for our church and used Kristina's challenge for the colors. Look how cute Anthonette's little boy is with his little robot! :) I wanted to do something pretty simple for this one, because the colors are so bold. It's Summer Time!!- Teacher's Gifts

ETA: Ok I know I posted this a couple of weeks ago, but I found this challenge to make card's for teacher's over at Fun Frilled. So I knew this project was perfect for it! I didn't want to repost the same project, so I just edited this one, I hope that still counts! Thanks for looking! :)

Hey Everybody! Sorry that it's been almost a week since my last post. It has been a crazy week! My kids are officially out of school for the Summer! They passed the TAKS test and the end of the year tests to get out 2 weeks early. They just started that this year, and all the kids who didn't pass or that need more help, will stay 2 more weeks, for more one on one time. My son will go to the 3rd grade and my daughter goes to Jr. High (6th grade). :( We have a tradition in our family with the girls, that you have to wait until the Summer before the sixth grade to shave your legs. Well we hit a milestone in our lives this week, because we let our daughter shave her legs the night before her last day of school! (I know that sounds kind of cheesy, but it means our little girl is growing up!)

Anyway on to crafty stuff, since it was their last day of school yesterday, I needed to make gifts for the teachers. I know I could buy something, but I would rather make it! I thought about it for awhile and came up with these simple note cards. I figured they could use them next year. My son has one teacher and my daughter has three, so I made each of the 4 teacher's, a set of 20. I stamped them with the wood grain stamp (that I LOVE), how do ya'll stamp those big stamps? I had to step on it, to stamp evenly, (is that weird)? I typed the words on the computer and printed it out on notebook paper, and stamped an apple on each one and stapled them to the card. I thought the staples looked teachery. (do you like that word?) :) I made the cards to fit in a cd/dvd envelope. I bought the cd/dvd envelopes at WalMart, they were 100 for $6.00. I took the envelope box apart and traced the template on poster board and cut it out, to make a box to hold the note cards in. I used the red sticky tape to adhere it, stamped apples on it, and cut out a window in the front, so you could see the cards inside. I only made boxes for two of the teacher's and the other two, I just put a rubber band around them and tied a ribbon around it. (I ran out of time.) I started making them Wednesday afternoon, I had to stop and go to church that evening. When we got back around 9:00 that night, I started working on them again and quit around 2:00am the next morning. They still weren't finished, so I woke up and finished them that morning and took pictures of them, before I had to go to award ceremonies for my daughter at 9:00am. SOOO it was a busy night, but I think I work better under pressure! :) I also made Thank You cards for them too, and two more for other teachers, using the same design. I put them in kraft gift bags with the teachers name on the front and a simple brown bow. I think they really liked them! So here they are.
Supplies:
Paper- White CS, notebook paper
Stamps- Fall stamps- $ bin at Target, PaperTrey Ink- Mixed messages, All night media- wood grain
Ink- ColorBox Chalk Ink- Chestnut Raon, Studio G- red, SU!- brown marker, BIC- green marker
Accessories- staples, brown satin ribbon, red gingham ribbon, cd/dvd envelopes, kraft gift bags

KWerner Color Challenge #52

Hey again!! Can you believe, two posts in one day?! It's time for another KWerner Color Challenge. These colors were hard to find in my supplies, I had to use all scraps from my stash for this challenge. Some of my scraps were small, so I was limited on what design I could do. It was hard to find the color "sand", was that hard for anyone else? Well I really like how simple it turned out! If ya'll haven't noticed, I LOVE studio G stamps from the $ bin at Michael's and JoAnn's. They are so cute and very affordable!! I loved the Father's Day stamps I found at JoAnn's, and I figured the colors for this week would make a good Father's Day card. I really LOVED the pattern on this set too! Well here it! Here is the inside of the card.

Supplies:

Paper- All scraps from stash.

Stamps- Studio G- Father stamps

Ink- Versamark- watermark

A Baby Project

Hey Everyone! Well I don't know how ya'll Saturday went, but mine was busy cleaning house and changing out Winter clothes for Summer clothes. It has been so Hot here in Texas and it's only May. It has been in the low 90's already!! My husband and I own a A/C & Heating business, so it's good for business :), but long work hours!!
I wanted to share a project I made the other night at about 12 o'clock. A friend of mine started volunteering at a crisis pregnancy center, they have a shop that the women can get baby supplies from. My friend crocheted 5 blankets and put each one in a large Ziploc bag, she needed me to make the bags look a little cuter. I decided to make like a bag topper that will be stapled on top of the bag. So I folded a 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of card stock and stamped the words Sweet baby all over it. I bought some new stamps that just reminded me of babies, so I used the mommy & baby giraffe. I stamped them, then water colored them in and then cut them out. I needed to make 5 of them and I wanted to make little 4X4 cards to go with each one, so that she could write a little note in each one, to let them know that the little baby that will be wrapped in that blanket was prayed for. She prayed over the blankets as she made them. They decide to keep the blankets for a Baby shower that they give the Mom's once a year. I think the Mom's will love them! She really loves volunteering there, it is a Christian based clinic, she actually lead two people to Christ yesterday, Praise God!!
They are pretty simple, the hardest part part was water coloring and cutting them out. These pictures were taken late at night, again, so the lighting isn't great. I had a field trip to go to the next day, so she picked these up while I was gone, so I didn't get a picture of the finished project, Sorry! I hope to make some more stuff for the Clinic in the near future.

I made these in blue and green.

Here is one of the cards, It was getting late, so I just stamped these to the cards. :)
