A Note of Thanks

Good morning! Well I wanted to share a Thank You card I made a few days ago. And I am in LOVE with this stamp set! It is called Just a Note. It is one of Dawn's first stamp sets she is now selling. Her store is Wplus9 Design Studio and she has some AMAZING stamp sets! I also bought the Love Birds set and I can't wait to ink that one up!

Ok I'm going to be honest, I was in band in Jr. High for 1 year and I always wrote what the note was above the note in my music book! I played the flute and I actually was first chair several times! I knew how to play the note, but I couldn't read the music. But not to worry if you can't read music either, because you really can't go wrong when you stamp these music notes! They really are so fun! I have so many ideas in my head for using this stamp set, now I just need to find the time to do them! :)

{A Note of Thanks}

Cardstock- raspberry fizz, true black- (PTI); white- (Georgia Pacific); black- (The Paper Studio)
Stamp- Just a Note- Wplus9 Design Studio

Ribbon- Houndstooth- (RibbonFX)

Other- scallop punch- (Fiskars)

Well I'm off to work on more taxes, DT work, housework, and what ever else that comes up! :)

Have a Blessed day!

Winner & National Pancake Day

Good Morning! Did you know that today is National Pancake Day? Well I didn't until I read it on someones blog! So I told my husband and.....look what he made me! He's so sweet! You see my coffee cup I bought for myself last year! After working on all these taxes every year, I better be the "Employee of the Year" when I'm finished! :) Did you notice my "country china"?! Foam plate! Autumn does the dishes now for an allowance, so she will be happy to know that's one less dish for her to wash! :)

Well last night was the last chance to win a free March/April issue of PC. I'm not sure how to put the Random Generator on my blog, so I went to their site and it lets you try it out. So I put in the amount of comments and it came up with an number. So I just took a picture of it, to show you! I know, I'm goofy! :)
So the winner of the free issue and a tips, tools, and techniques cd is... Jessica Rosario! I already have your address from the card drive, so I will get that in the mail to you today! Thanks for all the sweet comments everybody! :) I hope I can take a break from taxes today and make a card! We'll see! :)

Have a Blessed day!

Embellish Celebrate Birthdays Color Challenge

Good morning! Well it's time for another Embellish Challenge and this time we are to use the colors pink, blue, green, and brown and celebrate Birthdays. Here is the inspiration pics.
And here is a card I made for my Mee Mee. Her Birthday was Sunday and she turned 80! She is an Amazing women and I love her so much! We had a Big Birthday party for her and also got to visit with my Paw Paw who is very sick! Please keep him in your prayers.
It was very hard for me to use blue, I realized that I don't use that color blue much at all! But it is a great way to get you to try something new! I wanted the card to have flowers on it, because my Mee Mee still at 80, has the most amazing flowers! I really think her thumbs are green! :)
And I had some scraps left over, and I needed another card for a sweet lady that we use to go to church with. Her Birthday was Saturday and she turned 81! She will get the card a little late, but I'm sure she won't mind! So here is hers. I think I like this one better! :)
Well I started working on our business taxes yesterday! :( I really don't like this time of year! So I will be really busy with that, the next couple of weeks! Usually I start working on it in December, but the card drive kept me busy! I really need to get more organized in that area. So if anyone has any tips, please let me know! :) And we are suppose to get snow tonight! If anyone knows anything about Southeast Texas, you will know that this is crazy! Nashville Stars

Hey everybody! Well I am back at home now and the Internet is great, so I hope to get back to posting better now! :) We left a day early from vacation, because our kids made all stars in basketball, and they have a weekend tournament that started yesterday. So we left Nashville at 5:00 am and drove all the way home with only 3 stops for gas, bathroom breaks, and food. We got back home at 4:30 pm and stayed home for 20 minutes, before we had to leave again for the games. So it was a long day yesterday. They did win their games, so it was worth it! :)
Well we did so much stuff on vacation and got to meet so many great people. So I wanted to tell you about all of the "Nashville Stars"! :)

Well we went on a tour of the Grand Ole' Opry. It was really neat to see it in person and all the backstage stuff! Chance and I grew up listening to country music, so we really enjoyed it! They let us go on stage and they asked if anyone wanted to sing on center stage and that you never know who was listening and some people have even been noticed because of singing on stage during a tour! I looked at Chance immediately, because I knew he would. And he had that look like, I'm nervous, but I want to do it! A 9 yr. old boy said he would, so I told him if he did it, so would Chance! I can't tell you how exciting it was to see Chance sing on the Grand Ole' Opry! I even had some tears, because I knew how much it meant to Chance! He did a great job and something we will remember forever! :)
I got to meet and spend some time with Kelley and Courtney. We went to church with them, ate lunch, and just got to hang out together. I can't tell you how excited and nervous I was to meet them! It is a great experience to meet blog friends! I wish we could have spent more time together and maybe even crafted or something! They are so sweet! :) I know it looks like I have a gold tooth in the picture, but I promise I don't! It was the lighting or something, so Kelley or Courtney, can you email me a picture of us, minus my "gold tooth"! :)
We also got to meet "Joanne Cash", Johnny Cash's sister! She sang at the resort we were at, and after the kids finished swimming in the pool, we got to meet her.
Have ya'll ever heard of Pat & Gina Nelley, from Down Home With The Neeley's from The Food Network? Well we got to meet Pat's brother Tony, when we went and ate bar-b-que at Neeley's. He was very nice and talk to us for awhile and the food was really good!
So that is some of the Nashville Stars we met! Sorry I don't have any cards to share today. I have been unpacking and cleaning up the house, and I hope to get to craft a little bit before more games tonight. I haven't made anything in about a week, so I really want to get some ink on my hands! :)

Have a Blessed day!

The St. Jude Card Drop- Off

Well I told ya'll that I would post some pics of us dropping off the St. Jude cards. We stayed the night at the Heartbreak Hotel Friday night, so we could be at the St. Jude Hospital early. (I'll show some pics of that later!) We did not hand deliver any of the cards, we simple just dropped them off at the front desk. But before we went in, we prayed over the cards, that every person would be Blessed that received them and prayed for healing on all the children. It was a very overwhelming reality, that most parents that come in there with their children, are facing cancer! Please pray for the children and their parents, they need it so dearly!

Here are all the cards ready for the trip. Here is the outside of Hospital.

Here are me and the kids, right before we dropped them off inside.
Here is little statues of little kids playing tug of war. I thought it was so cute, and it really shows what kids should be able to do as kids, and not being sick in a hospital. It is what I am praying for, for these kids!
We are having a great time on vacation! We are site seeing alot and actually we are getting some relaxing in too, which is very much needed!! :) The Internet still stinks, I had to come out by the inside pool, which is close to the Internet server I guess, to upload these pics! I'll be ready to get my Internet back at home! Well the kids are done swimming, so we are headed back to relax on the couch!
Night! :)

Happy Valentine's Day

Hey everybody! Happy Valentines Day! I know I told ya'll I would post some pictures of St. Jude's, but we got to our resort in Nashville today and the Internet is not the greatest! It is really SLOW!! My pictures aren't uploading, so I will have to try again tomorrow!
We got to worship with Kelley and Courtney and their families today at their church! How often do you see bloggers worship God together at church?! I thought it was really neat, and all of our husbands are/or were pastors! :) We also went afterward and ate lunch and then went back to Courtney's to eat dessert that Courtney made, (it was REALLY good)! I felt like I have known them for years, we had so much fun! They are SO sweet, and yes, we talked about stamping alot! :) I hope to get to see them again before we leave!
Well I hope to be back tomorrow with pics of St. Jude's and of my new (in real life friends)! :)
Check back in the morning for a new EBTKS challenge!

Have a Blessed night!

Valentine Gifts

Hey everybody! Well I wanted to share some Valentine treats I made for the kids teachers. Autumn helped Chace do his Valentine's for his friends, and she did hers, so that was a HUGE help to me! :) They exchange Valentine's at school on Friday, but they weren't there, so they brought theirs a day early. I remembered at the last minute, that I needed to make something for the teachers, so I made something really quick! And who doesn't like Hershey bars? :)

Here is Chace's quick Valentine box. Yes, I see now, that you can see the words through the fabric on the box. :) But look how cute that little moose is! :) They usually have a Valentine box contest, but they didn't do it this year, so I thought we would go with simple! :)

We are still on vacation and I hope to be back tomorrow with pictures of us dropping off the St. Jude cards! :) We are staying in Mt. Juliet tonight, and I already got to meet Kelley, we just couldn't wait until tomorrow! I will get to meet Courtney tomorrow and we will are going to church with them and out to lunch! I can't wait to get to know them in person, I feel like I know them already! :)

Hope ya'll have a Blessed Valentine's Day!

Texas Children's Hospital Trip

Hey everybody! Well I just realized today, that I haven't posted since Sunday! I'm so sorry, but I have been so busy getting all of the last minute preparations done before we leave in the morning! I had to take my kids to the Dr. yesterday, they have had sinus congestion and some sore throats, but the Dr. said no Strep! Praise God! It is just viral, they should be fine. So please pray we all stay well on our trip. And please pray for my Paw Paw. He has been sick for a couple of weeks with congestive heart failure. He is home and taking meds and is doing pretty good. But he is 83 yrs old and sometimes it takes a little longer to get better.

Well yesterday was the day that Chance and I took our little trip to Houston to delivery 1,000 cards to Texas Children's Hospital. It is about 2 hrs. one way for us, so it was a pretty long day, but SO worth it! We had to pull up in the drop off spot and they told Chance that he had to park and stay with the truck, (I guess so we wouldn't take long). So I went in by myself and carried all those cards. Just walking in there is just Amazing! It is so kid friendly! I took a couple of pictures inside of some of the children's art work. It is so cute! The lady I turned them into, was so appreciative for the cards. I did not get to hand them out, they make gift bags for them and they will put cards in the bags! So thank you again, from everyone at Texas Children's Hospital!

Kelley also took some of the cards to a Children's Hospital in Nashville yesterday. They were going to have a Valentine party tomorrow and hand out the cards to the kids and maybe even some of the parents. So thank you, from all of them too! :)

Ok, well I am off to finish up packing! We were suppose to head out early in the morning, but we have had really rainy weather and now we are expecting snow! We have had snow twice since I have lived here in about 20 yrs! And then it decides to snow tonight! Go figure! :)
Have a Blessed night!

More Card Drive Cards

Hey everybody! Ok, I still have some cards to share that I made last month for the card drives. I think they turned out cute. The first one is a digital stamp from Squiggly Fly that I bought over a month ago and I fell in Love with it. It was created by Jane from over at Plain Janes. I really didn't do the stamp justice! I don't own alot of Copics, so I used colored pencils instead and I could say my kids colored it, but I admit, I did it! :) I plan on using the image again soon, when I get some free time! Cute Robots. More PTI stamps.
Cute Studio G stamps.
And here is a bunch I made with all the same color scheme.
I'm too lazy to post all the supplies tonight, let me know if you have any questions about what I used. I have a BUSY week this week, before we leave on Friday morning, so I better get off of here and do some things on my "To Do List"! :)

Have a Blessed night!
