Pink Sketches Blog #22

While looking through blogs, I found a new sketch to play along in. This one is called the Pink Sketches Blog. They have some pretty amazing women designing there, check them out! This is my first scrapbook page to do since I had my blog. I have been doing a lot of cards, but I need to be doing my pages that I am behind on! I am going to try to do more pages.
This is a page telling about my two Beagle's, (Tucker & Kate) and their wedding! My children wanted them to have puppies, so we told them that they should get married first. My husband is a pastor so we got him to preform the ceremony! :) The kids and I had such a good time dressing them up! We had a veil that my daughter wore in a wedding as a flower girl and my son had this cowboy hat and tie. In another picture the dog "Tucker" had on cowboy boots :), (that didn't last long) and Kate had some fresh picked wild flowers too. They also exchanged dog tags! It was a day we will never forget! :) Have a blessed day!

Here is another KWerner Color Challenge. I love to do these challenges, it helps me to go outside of my "color" box. The color inspiration picture is bibs, so I tried to create a baby bib, I hope you can tell! I have not used my decorative scissors in forever, but I dusted them off today and used my mini scallop pair. I have a baby shower to go to this weekend, so here is the card they will receive. I hope you like it! Have a Blessed Day!

Amy Rysavy's Sketch #50

Two post in one day, WOW! I found another sketch challenge to participate in, over at Amy Rysavy's blog. There are some really talented people there, check them out!
I have a very close childhood friend who moved away a couple of years ago to South Carolina with her husband in the military. They have two beautiful young little girls. Her husband was stationed last month in Japan, so she is there by herself for a couple of month's, with no other family there. She does have her church family, so I am thankful for that. I wanted to send her a card telling her that I missed her and I had them in my prayers. So here it is!
Have a Blessed day!

Paper: My Mind's Eye, Best Occasions, SU!, scraps from my stash
Stamps: Stampendous!- Happy messages

Makeesha's Inkspriaton's Sketch Challenge #5

I have been visiting Makeesha's blog for awhile, but have never played in her challenges. So this week I thought I would try! I have never done a sketch challenge before, it was so fun! It really did take a lot of guess work out of it, very helpful!

My daughter's friend is home sick with the flu (yuck), so we thought we should send her a card telling her hello, and that we were praying for a quick recovery for her. I bought these chipboard tags and shape cut-outs months ago, and have never used them, I think they are so cute! I bought them from the $ spot at Target, a package of 30 for $1.00. That's my kind of shopping! So here is my card, I hope you like it! Have a Blessed day!

Projects

I am way behind on posting my projects! I have been super busy with my mom's birthday, vacation, basketball games, a wedding, you name it we've been doing it! :) I wouldn't change it for the world though! So here are my kids Valentines gift's. I bought cheap little photo albums at Wal-Mart and made a 4X6 card from A-Z, I put a picture on each page and told something about them or described the picture on each page starting with the letter. They really enjoyed these, they loved seeing picture from babies until now.

Here is Autumn's cover and her page for Y, I love that picture of her! So pretty!

Here is Chace's cover and his page for T, I love this picture of him too, he was so proud of that metal!

This is a little frame, I got the idea over here, My husband made this one. I painted , decorated, and put the 6X6 scripture cards I have been working on in it for my mom's birthday. She loved it and so do I. I'm going to have to make one for myself. Here is the front view, side view, and on the bottom is a cross.

Here are some 6X6 scripture cards I made a couple of weeks ago for the Scripture Challenge.
I put these in the frame holder for my mom. She lost her husband in October and reading God's word is where she has gotten her strength through this hard time!

Here is a card I did today for a wedding my husband preformed. It is for a sweet couple that goes to our church. I have never used this stamp, so I figured I would use it. I really like how it turned out. I think I am caught up for now! That's for looking! God Bless!

KWerner Color Challenge

We just got back from our vacation last night, we had a great time. We started our day with two basketball games for my daughter and my husband had to do a wedding today, so our day has been busy. I wanted to do another color challenge for KWerner. This is my 5th time to play, but never played for the round-ups, this will be my first time to play in that. It ought to be fun! I hope I get my entry in in time. I have a lady from church who just turned 80 yesterday, I love her so much! We are bringing her out to eat tomorrow after church, so I needed to make her a card so I thought I would use the color challenge for the color inspiration. I tried to get the colors as close as I could. I took a new picture this morning with natural sunlight, much better! So here it is, I hope you like it!

Valentines Gifts

Well tomorrow is Valentines Day, and we are also leaving for our vacation to New Mexico to go snow boarding. We are so excited. I have been busy all week finishing up Valentine Gifts and packing. I wanted to share some for my gifts I made. I didn't have time to take pictures of my kids gifts I made so I will try to post those later. Here they are.
The first one I made for my husband. He loves the candy Andie Mints, so I wrapped each one with a piece of paper and told him something I love about him. And then I made a little package to put them in and made this cute little bee to put on it. I also made this card for him, it looks like a little pack of matches. I found the idea for the package, bee, and the match card from an old Paper Craft magazine. Then I made the next one for my mom, we had a surprise birthday party and dinner for her last weekend and this is a picture we took. It is my mom and all for my sisters, brother, and I. I put it in a frame and put a little saying on it. I think it turned out cute!
I hope you all have a blessed Valentines Day and remember Jesus Loves You!
Here are the mints wrapped up.

Here is the package.

You can see the little candies inside.

The front of the card.

Here is the inside of the card. I wrote my message to him on the back.

This is the picture I made for my mom.

KWerner Color Challenge #41

Sorry I haven't posted in almost a week, I have been working on all of my Valentine gifts and packing of our vacation. I didn't have a lot of time today, but I still needed to make a card for one of my daughters teachers and I wanted to play in the Color Challenge over at KWerner. My daughters teacher has her classroom decorated in hunting decor, so I thought this zebra paper was perfect for her and the notebook paper inside for her to write her a note, just looked like school! I also loved the little heart clips that KWerner showed us this week, so I made one for this card. So here is my card. I hope you like it!

Recipe:
Paper- Colorbok, white card stock, notebook paper, and scraps from my stash
Ink- Memories- black
Stamps- Stampcraft- Greek Stone
Accessories- red sheer ribbon, rhinestones, hearts cut from Cricut, paper clip

Birthday Gifts

My son had a birthday party to go to today, so I decided to fix this little gift bag up and make I card and envelope to match. My son and his friend Seth, both had mohawks over the summer, so I thought a rock'n card would fit him! The inside of the card says "Hope you have a rock'n birthday!". I think it turned out super cute! Hope you like it! Have a blessed day!

Here's the card.

Here's the gift bag and envelope.

Recipe:
Paper- Patterned paper - Scrapbook Wizard & Black, white, & gray card stock - scraps from my stash
Accessories- word cut outs from Cricut, guitar and stars cut outs from computer, white galaxy marker from American Crafts, blue gift bag, white envelope, & black ribbon

For some reason when I click on my pictures when they are already posted on my blog, they won't click and zoom in. Some of my older posts will and the KWerner Color Challenge block picture will. Does anyone know why that happens? If so, please let me know. Thanks!

BUSY!

I have been so busy the last couple of days! I got a cold last Friday, my daughter had a basketball game and pictures on Saturday, made reservations for our New Mexico snowboarding vacation in two weeks, (yes I know waiting til the last minute, we couldn't make our minds up on the location), housework, and working on my husbands taxes for his business. I did make a page, but haven't taken a picture of it yet, so maybe tomorrow I will get that uploaded. Have a blessed night!
