My Witty Husband :)

Hello! I wanted to share a funny story with y'all! I told my husband the other day that I wished he would bring me some flowers home. I told him, even if they are wild flowers. He said Ok and that he didn't know that I wanted flowers, but he would bring me some home. Well he got home the other day and I ask if he remembered my flowers (just joking with him). He said that he forgot, so he went back to work and we came home, this is what he had behind his back. A branch from a tree in our yard! :) He is so funny! We laughed so hard, so I had to put it in a vase! Then a couple of days later, he brought home this, before he took us out for dinner!
He brought these for our daughter.

Just thought I would share this with y'all! :)

Have a Blessed Night!

Traveler's Inspiration Challenge #2

Hey everyone! Well I made it through the sleep study and I actually went to sleep earlier than normal. Of course is was some uncomfortable sleep, but I did get some and they had enough data to do the study. So I will find out the results in about 7 to 10 days. They did say my husband needs to come in for a test, we told them about some of his sleep patterns, and they were a little concerned. We'll see if he goes in. :)
I was very inspired by the photo Anthonette submitted to the Traveler's Inspiration Challenge on Tina's blog. We went on vacation to Colorado two years ago to go snow boarding, and we passed through New Mexico. We went through a town called Pojoque and saw this rock that was shaped like a camel. It is a tourist attraction and is actually called "Camel Rock". So when I saw the picture of the pueblo's, it just reminded me of how beautiful New Mexico is, and this neat rock, and the sky's really are that beautiful! We went to Angel Fire, New Mexico this year for our vacation and it is the town right next to Taos were the pueblo's in the picture were. I decided to do a 8 1/2 X 11 scrapbook page for the challenge, to help with the vacation album I have been wanting to make. I decided to use some paper that I have never used, (like Kristina had suggested, to use stuff we have had for awhile), and the papers just looked like fabric that you might find in New Mexico. I did a lot of stitching,(which I love) and it kind of went with the fabric theme. I used my Cricut for the Title and added some lines and dots. I used my own hand writing (which I don't like), but I try to use it more in pages for my kids, because they will have these albums one day! Added some buttons and I think that's it! I am still trying to take pictures of layouts, it seems to be hard for me. I guess I just need to keep working at it! So here it is!
Here is Anthonette's picture.
Here is a picture of "Camel Rock".
Here is my page.
Here is a close up of the stitched papers.
Supplies:
Paper- My Mind's Eye, cream cs, scraps for my stash
Accessories- Cricut for title, buttons- Paper Studio, white crocheting thread, white thread from sewing machine, brown marker

Card- Swimming Trunks

Hey everyone! I wanted to post a quick card today. My son is going to a swimming/sleep over birthday party tomorrow night, so I wanted to make a card that looked like swimming trunks. The birthday boy was also on my sons baseball team and when we had the end of season swimming party he had on swimming trunks just like this! Perfect! :) I found a pair of trunks online and printed it out the size I needed, then traced around it and cut it out! I found a flower and used it to trace around too, I had to color it in with...are you ready? My kids markers! I seriously need some Copics, I tried using my blender pen, but the flowers turned out pink, they needed to be red, so the markers had to do! I did a little stitching on them and crisscrossed some ribbon, a bow just looked to girly! :) I should have punched the holes first, then stitched it, it's a little off at the top. Oh, well, he's 8, he don't care! :) (I really want to redo it though, but I'm not going to! :) ) I really love the Crop-O-Dile, but I really want the Big Bite, it can reach in places where the regular Crop-O-Dile can't! I had to use my Making Memories automatic setter, I think I messed that thing up, I guess I need to get online and look up some instructions on it! Anyway here's the card!

Here's the front.

Here's the back.

I stamped "Happy Birthday" in the inside.

Paper- white cs

Stamp-Stampendous!- Happy Messages

Hey everyone! How has your day been? I haven't been feeling to good today, maybe I'm just tired! Anyway, enough whining! :) I did make a card today, but I didn't feel up to taking the pictures of it. So I am sharing a card that I made a couple of days ago. The paper was already adhered to the card and just sitting on my desk, wanting to be finished. So I just sewed around it, cut out some of the flowers and popped them up with pop dots and added a sentiment. Really easy, but I like how it turned out! So here it is!

Use It Challenge #17 & A Happy Momma

Hey everyone! How was your Wednesday? Mine was OK, I went to the Dr. today. The Dr. said I was dehydrated and needed to drink more fluids. It has been in the 100's around here, so I wouldn't that a lot of people are. I also have to go get a sleep study test done on Sunday, to test for Sleep Apnea. So to get my mind off of all that, I made a card for the Use It! Challenge. I found this challenge from Tiffany's blog, and it looked fun, so I thought I would play! I made this card for my niece Caitlin, her birthday is next month, she will be 10.
The challenge is to get you to use some of your stash. The rules for this week is to:
1) Use your newest papers.
2) There has to be a name on the card.
3) Use at least one button.
4) Use a sewing machine if you have one, or sew by hand.
They will pick a random winner, and the winner can pick the next weeks rules, pretty cool huh?! So go by and check it out!

I also wanted to share something that makes me so happy, beyond words!
As some of you may know, my husband is pastor, and at Church we have a worship band. My husband plays guitar and sings, I sing, we have a drummer, piano player, a bass guitar player, and another lady sings too. We have band practice before Wednesday night Church service. My daughter (11 years old) got a mic, and started singing with us tonight, she looked so comfortable. Then I look over and see my son (8 years old) play a DJembe (a drum that came from Jerusalem). It was just amazing to see them singing & playing music to the Lord! Thank You Lord! :)
Here's the card!
