Card- Birthday Flip Flop

ETA: I have noticed over at the Fun-Frilled blog, they are having a challenge of making a card that reminds you of Summer. Who doesn't think a flip flop just screams Summer?! So I decided to enter this card for it. So go by and check out the challenge.
Hey everyone! OK June is a busy birthday, anniversary, father's day month! I made another birthday card for another niece today. She turned 9 today. I found a cute card over at dannisdoodles, and fell in LOVE with it! She is so amazingly crafty! (Is that a word?) Go by and check her out!
I traced my son's flip flop from last year (it was the smallest one we had around here). I thought it would be harder than it was to make, but it wasn't, so I will be making more of these in the future! The patterned paper and the flowers were from my scrap stash, I thought it would be great for this flip flop! So here it is!

Scribble This Challenge #1

Happy Sunday everyone! I got a chance to play in a new challenge today! Lisa over at Sideoats + Scribbles is having a new challenge helping us with white balance. I really have learned a lot from it! My current camera does not have a custom white balance, but when I get my new one in the future I will now how to work the white balance correctly, so Thank You Lisa. So ya'll go by her blog and check out her challenges, I think she can really teach us something about taking pictures, I'm really excited to learn!! :) I also don't have Photo Shop, I have Photo Suite 4 that came on my laptop, so that's what I use. I have recently found an enhancement option on it and I think that it really captures the real look of the card! I have started using a daylight bulb in my little lamp to take pictures when there is no sunlight. I took these pictures about 7:00 p.m. , so not a lot of sunlight here. I made this card for my niece, she has a birthday on Tuesday, she will be 17! WOW time flies!! OK, so here are different lighting's.

Auto White Balance
Daylight White Balance (Not a big difference)
Fluorescent White Balance

Tungsten White Balance

Can't wait for that, we don't go out by ourselves very much, so it ought to be nice! Here is a card I made last night for Dawn's color challenge. I am trying to come up with my own designs her lately. I do realize I need more stamps sets, I might have to put in an order for some more PTI stamps soon, I just love those stamps! Well I gotta go, we cooked some hamburger's out on the grill and now I gotta go clean up! Here's the card!

Dug-out Mom's Projects

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a picture of Chace from one of his baseball games. They use a pitching machine in this league and he plays pitcher, so he has to wear his helmet the whole game, SO HOT! This was him in the dug-out going out on the field. He looks so cute! :)
I'm sorry I didn't get to post this yesterday! These are projects I made for two Mom's on my son's baseball team. My husband is the coach, so I guess that means I'm automatically helping! :) I love kids, love baseball, don't mind organizing snack lists, doing the books, calling about practice and so on, but I do not like staying in the dug-out!! These are kids that are 7,8, & 9 yr. olds, so some of them are a little wild! I helped one time in there, and that was enough for me! Two of the Mom's stayed in there every game! (None of the other Mom's wanted to stay in there either)! So I wanted to make them something to show them, how much I appreciated them! So I made these little, star chipboard books! I found them at Michael's in the $ bin, and I went to Hobby Lobby and found the baseball paper kit on sale for 40% off! My daughter and I took a lot of pictures at the games, and I just printed them out at home on card stock in different sizes. I wanted it to be really special for each Mom, so I made the books just about their kids! One of the Mom's has twin boys on the team, so both of them are in one book! I also made thank you cards and decorated gift bags to match. We had a tournament over the weekend and they had a double header to play, it was at 2:00 and 3:30, here in Texas it is HOT! So you could imagine how hot the boys were and the Mom's in the dug-out! So after the games I gave them the gifts, and at the next game they told me they loved them. They said they were the cutest things they had ever seen, and it was worth staying in the dug-out to get those. So I was happy they liked them! Now I'm going to make some for me, of my own kids! :) Our town is called Warren and our school colors are orange and black. There are two little league teams from our town and we are the black team, but I had to use both colors. I wanted to mention how good the team did this year. They got 2nd place for the season and they got 3rd place in the tournament! They did great, we're proud of them!

You can see my husband in the back ground, putting the balls in the pitching machine! He's a GREAT coach! The boys love him! :)

Grad Cards

Hey everyone! I have been working on more cards to submit! My thinking is submit more and maybe at least one will get noticed, so will see! So I will show a card that I made on my crafty weekend. I needed three cards for some graduating girls. Our school colors are orange and black, not real pretty, so I made them a little more girly! I made them all the same, just like an assembly line! I really like how they turned out, I hope they will too, (I'm sure they will pay more attention to the cash inside)! :) Well I need to go to bed, it's late! Tomorrow I will try to post the baseball projects that I made last week. Night!
