KWerner Color Challenge #50

Hey Everyone! I am so excited about this challenge!! Kristina has done such a good job on these challenges, and all the work she puts into it is amazing!! She deserves an award, maybe the Hardest Working Blogger Award!!! :) Thank You for all the hard work Kristina, I get so much inspiration from these challenges! Actually one of the reasons that I started my blog was to participate in these challenges, thanks for helping me step out and do it Kristina! The challenge this week has prizes to win, I must say that even if she didn't give anything away, just being picked in the top 10 is amazing!! :) We can only post one card for the challenge , which makes me feel a lot of pressure! Did anyone else feel that way? Anyway I needed a card for a family from church, they haven't been to church in awhile, they foster and adopt children and some have medical issues, so they are a very busy family! I just wanted them to know we love them and that they are in our prayers!

I found this owl stamp a couple weeks ago at Michael's $1 bin, I really fell in love with it. I wanted him to sit on a limb, but it didn't have a stamp like that, so I hand cut one. Of course I had to do some distressing and stitching! :) I also used my new Papertrey Ink - Mixed messages stamp set. I can't believe that I didn't use very much ribbon on this card, I LOVE ribbon! I went to town yesterday and bought some new crafty stuff, I used some of the buttons that I bought today, it was from the Bag-O-Buttons ( They are so cute)! If you notice the big button on the bottom of the card has wood grain on it, I thought it would be perfect for this card! I also wanted some wood grain on the branch, so I hand drew it on, and water colored the yellow eyes. Okay enough rambling, here's the card, hope you like it! Good Luck everybody on the challenge! :)
