Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'm not Irish and I don't believe in luck, but I sure do like wearing green on St. Patrick's Day! :)
I made a trip to Goodwill last week looking for some craft stuff (I finally found what I was looking for, I'll share that later). In our Goodwill store, they sort the clothes by color, (which I love), so I went to the green shirts. And to my surprise, I found a brand spankin' new shirt from Macy's with the tags still on it! And it was my size! So a shirt that would have cost me $58.00, cost me $2.99! Ok, I'm lying, I wouldn't have bought a $58.00 shirt, because I am too cheap and I would rather buy some stamps with the extra money! But I love a good deal! So that is what I am wearing today! I have been so inspired by Susan Opel. She did 17 days of green. She wore something green everyday! I have to steal this idea next year. I can just see the scrapbook layouts for that! :) Today is the BIG cheerleading tryouts! I think I am more nervous than Autumn! I think it stems back from when I was in 6th grade and I tried out and everybody told me I was the best one, they voted for me, I was going to make it. And when it was time to announce the winners, I wasn't one of them! I'm not trying to make up excuses, like maybe I just thought I was good, cheerleading meant so much to me back then! I had a VERY rough childhood growing up, so this is something that brought me joy. Schools can be so political, and if your family isn't important, than they think neither are you! I think this is why I always try to have a voice for the less fortunate kids, because I was one of them!
So I have been praying for Autumn, and not praying that she would make it, but praying that she will not have alot of nerves and that she will be who she is! And to me, she is a cheerleader! I had Autumn right out of high school, and I was a cheerleader, so she has cheered her entire life! I know she has what it takes! She lights up when she is cheering and dancing, so I know she loves it! I will make a post tonight and let ya'll know the results.
Ok, on to the card. This is a St. Patrick's Day/ Birthday card for a friend. I hope she likes it! I had to use some more of my houndstooth ribbon, I'm trying not to hoard it! :)
Well I hope ya'll have a Blessed day!

  6. LOVE your Goodwill find! Looks great on you! And the card is terrific too -- how did you get your bow to have the design showing on the entire bow? I have trouble with ribbon that is white on one side and a design on the other!
