Hey everybody! Well today I have my card for the next round of
Gallery Idol. I woke up Friday morning to find that I had moved on in the competition and we had to make a masculine card with a garage element. I had an idea quickly after that and I started making it. I had it finished by Friday night and took pictures of it Saturday and edited all my pics. Well I knew that I needed to make a collage because the card was interactive. Let me just say... that I tried EVERY program on my computer! We were required to make it a certain size, so my programs weren't cooperating! All of them were to small! The one on the gallery is still smaller than I would like, but I had to stay in the right dimensions. I even tried to download a free trial PhotoShop Elements to make a different collage, (it took over two hours to download) and it still wouldn't work! So after Chace's baseball end of the season party Sunday afternoon, I came home and figured it out and got it posted! So I thought it was going to be an easy process... and I was TOTALLY wrong! :( I seriously need to learn more about photo editing! So anyway...enough of my whining! Here is my card.
I got the inspiration from Chance's truck! He sure loves that truck, so I thought I would make him a "mini" truck for Father's Day! :)
I didn't want to make a regular folding card, so I hide the rest of the sentiment behind the tail gate.
I used my
Practicing Creativity stamp set You're the Man, for my tread on my tires and for my license plate and replaced the screws with real ones. I used a transparency sheet for the back glass and for the tail lights. And I just had to make a tree air freshener! ;)
Here are some close-ups. You can see the tire tread good in this one!
