Everthing But The Kitchen Sink Sketch Challenge #2

Good morning! I am so excited to bring this month's Everything But The Kitchen Sink sketch challenge to you! I have found my inspiration from none other than, my "STOVE"! :) I just flipped the image and thanks to 'Courtney', here is the graphic image! Here is my card. I just had to make another Christmas card! And look at the wire, that's the wire out of wired ribbon! Who would have thought?! :)So here are the rules. Make a card or layout using the sketch. You have from today Dec. 15 until Dec. 25 to link it to Mr. Linky over at EBTKS blog. Don't forget to check out the other talented ladies too!

And here is the prize! "52 More Scrapbooking Challenges by Elizabeth Karchner". I have been so inspired by her and her blog and I am so excited about this book, I really LOVE it! I started out as a scrapbooker years ago, then I found card making and scrapbooking took a back burner. So this new year, I am going to get back to making some layouts and having memories for my kids. And this book is just what I needed. It is not just for scrapbookers, it is for all crafters!

I was so excited about the challenge, that I made a layout. I used my sketch and challenge # 29, to use fabric scraps in your scrapbooking. The title to the layout is 'Many Faces', our clothes in the pictures have many different colors, so I used many different fabrics and patterns and I tried to use some of the same colors to match our outfits too! All of the couches are fabric, but the purple one, it's cardstock.

I don't know why, but sometimes it doesn't enlarge when you click on it. It's probably something I'm doing wrong! :) So the journaling says, "Taking family pictures takes alot time and patience. So we like to have fun with it too. Here are the many faces of us!" I'm trying to use my own handwriting, and I really don't like it, but one day it might mean something to my kids! :)

The post is already really long so if you have any questions about the supplies, just let me know!

Have a Blessed day!

  1. Winter I love your card! It's so pretty, and I think the lights are so cleaver! Fantastic job on the challenge!

And I love your layout. I think you are right on with your hand writing comment. I hate mine as well, but I know it's important! I want that part of me to be remembered, and it will be way more to people than something I typed out.

  5. Great samples! I am right there with you on handwriting - I feel like mine looks messy on a LO(and neither of us has messy handwriting). Your LO is great, dividing up the page and putting the journaling in it's own block really works for me. Thanks for the ideas.
