And here is the prize! "52 More Scrapbooking Challenges by Elizabeth Karchner". I have been so inspired by her and her blog and I am so excited about this book, I really LOVE it! I started out as a scrapbooker years ago, then I found card making and scrapbooking took a back burner. So this new year, I am going to get back to making some layouts and having memories for my kids. And this book is just what I needed. It is not just for scrapbookers, it is for all crafters!
I was so excited about the challenge, that I made a layout. I used my sketch and challenge # 29, to use fabric scraps in your scrapbooking. The title to the layout is 'Many Faces', our clothes in the pictures have many different colors, so I used many different fabrics and patterns and I tried to use some of the same colors to match our outfits too! All of the couches are fabric, but the purple one, it's cardstock.
I don't know why, but sometimes it doesn't enlarge when you click on it. It's probably something I'm doing wrong! :) So the journaling says, "Taking family pictures takes alot time and patience. So we like to have fun with it too. Here are the many faces of us!" I'm trying to use my own handwriting, and I really don't like it, but one day it might mean something to my kids! :)
The post is already really long so if you have any questions about the supplies, just let me know!Have a Blessed day!
Winter I love your card! It's so pretty, and I think the lights are so cleaver! Fantastic job on the challenge!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your layout. I think you are right on with your hand writing comment. I hate mine as well, but I know it's important! I want that part of me to be remembered, and it will be way more to people than something I typed out.
Your card and page are so cute! And of course I WANT that book! I stalk Elizabeth's blog! LOL! Off to see what I can come up with!
ReplyDeleteSuper sketch, super card and super layout! And super prize! Hope to make it this time!

this is so fun! I love it!! I'm going to go home and look for sketches!! LOL Love the string of lights...how creative!
ReplyDeleteGreat samples! I am right there with you on handwriting - I feel like mine looks messy on a LO(and neither of us has messy handwriting). Your LO is great, dividing up the page and putting the journaling in it's own block really works for me. Thanks for the ideas.
ReplyDeletegreat card and layout!!! I soooo need to get scrapbookin'
ReplyDeleteWinter... your card is so stinking cute... I love it! I love your scrapbook page too!! Very cool! I really need to start scrapbooking!!

ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! I love the page and the book sounds awesome! I love Elizabeth's photos and stories. Fun to read!! There's a blog friend in there... Sasha Farina. You should check out her blog if you haven't. She's so inspiring and amazingly simple if you really look at her. She's just great at picking the perfect piece, color, and layout.
