The Cards Are Pouring In! :)

Hey everybody! Well I wanted to give a little update on the cards! They are Pouring in!!! Woo Hoo! :)

Friday a total of 101 came in.
Saturday a total of 182 came in.
Today (Monday) a total of 306 came in.
I made 30 more.
So the Total so far is 866! :)

There is still time to send cards in. You have until Jan. 31.

Reminder: Send in those cards! :)

Hey everybody! Just wanted to give a little reminder, to send in those cards! I know many have said they were making some or wanted to, so I hope you send them in soon. As of today, we have a total of 177 cards sent in, plus I have made 70 cards also!!! So a total of 247 cards! That's not enough...we need more! I'm not freaking out, because I know the Lord has always provided the cards in the years past, and I know He will do it again! :) I just want to remind you, that I need the cards sent to me by January 31. That's only 12 more days, so lets get them in, please! :)

I have had so much fun make my cards (as I always do), and I have been coloring with my Copics (which I love too, but still need lots of practice at doing)! I am always SO inspired at the cards that I receive! I almost have a hint of what PC and CARDS mags, feel like when they get submissions, only everyone gets to be a winner and send them to make cute little kids happy! :)
I will have to post my pics soon of my cards, after I do a little editing of course, if I can fit it in to the busy day! Autumn has her last Jr. High basketball game tonight! :( I'm a little sad, because she will be in High School next year and that just makes me realize, that my kids are getting older and so am I! :(
Anyway...no that I've dried my tears...lets get those cards in! :)

Card Drive Update!

Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't posted, but I have been working hard on sponsors, making cards, and don't forget, it's tax time and we now own 2 businesses! So that means paper work and deadlines for the CPA! :)

But I have been working on something else, as well.....WE HAVE ANOTHER HOSPITAL TO SPONSOR! Yes, I shouted that! The St. Louis Children's Hospital! I'm excited to add another one this year! :)

This Card Drive is a true passion of mine and I'm excited to see it grow! So Thank you to my friend Crystal for mentioning the hospital. :) And now all we need is cards! I have 25 cards from a couple of ladies that sent them in late last year, and I will use them this year and I have gotten 10 from another lady. So please send them in and lets collect even more this year. You have until Jan. 31, to send them.

Hey everybody! Happy New Year!

Well it's my Blog's 3 year anniversary this month, so you know what that means...a Valentine's Day Card Drive! Woo Hoo! I will be collecting cards for St. Jude's, Vanderbilt, and TX Children's Hospital's again this year and anymore children's hospital's I can find. :)

The last 2 years was a Huge success, so I'm hoping this year will be even better! :)

Here is my first card for the Card Drive.

Here are some of the guidelines from the hospital's and a few of mine. (Please read carefully.)
* Cards need to be a Valentine theme.
* Cards can't have anything about 'Get Well Soon', 'Feel Better', or anything reminding them of being sick. (Only Valentine Cards)
* Please make cards that can be used for any gender or age. (This could be a little tricky, but I think you can handle it!) :)
* No buttons or anything that can be pulled off and become a chocking hazard.
* Cards must be able to fit into a 4 1/2 X 5 3/4 envelope (A2 size). (I will provide clear envelopes for each card, so there is no need to send one with your card.)
* You can include a message in the inside, but please remember, nothing reminding them of being sick. (Maybe just a Valentine sentiment.) You can also sign your first name and what state you are from.
*I will be excepting cards for the whole month of January. ( Jan. 1 - Jan. 31, Please don't send any out after that, because I have to send them off so they will get to TN. in time for Valentines Day.) At the end of the month, I will pick random winners for prizes. I will be adding more prizes and sponsors, often. The more cards you send, the more times your name goes into the drawing to win prizes. Let your kids get involved too! :)
* Please send a piece of paper with your name, address, email address, and the amount of cards you sent. (It will help when I have the drawings.) A lot of the prizes will be sent from the sponsor, so I NEED to have your email address for sure!

Hey everybody! I am SO excited about this post today! I was contacted by Easy Canvas Prints company and asked if I would like to receive a canvas print, in exchange for me writing a preview about their product. Um...can you say YES Please?!!! :)

WOW! It's been 4 months since I have made a post! My life has been Super Busy! We have started building our new house, I officially started "Winter Wonderland Designs", for my cards and crafts, my son broke his arm in one of his football games, my daughter made "Sweetheart Court" (which is Homecoming for Jr. High, I had a scope done on my throat, and SO much more! :) Life gets busy and priorities have to be in the right order and sometimes my Blog isn't as important as just "Living"! So I'm sorry for the lack of blogging, but I have been making tons of cards. I have a friend who owns a shirt shop and she sells all kinds of cute jewelry, shirts, home decor, ect... and she asked if I would like to sell cards. I was so excited about it! I have been wanting to start Winter Wonderland Designs for a long time...so I took a step forward and it was Born! :) I have been selling cards and it feels nice to get paid for what I love doing. :)
I had a scope done on my throat almost 3 weeks ago. We are still trying to figure out this mysterious throat issue! Everything looked good, but I go back next week for the 'offical' report from the Dr. One day the Lord will reveal it to us!
Well I hope to have time to edit some of my pics of my cards, but it will be another busy weekend and week. Have a Blessed weekend!

Hey everybody! 13 yrs ago today, I married my best friend and soul mate Chance. Although only 18 & 19 yrs old and a 3 month old baby, we knew we were in love and wanted to grow old together! The Lord has led and guided us along the way and molded our marriage into what it is today! I LOVE you Chance, and know that you have my heart and always will! ♥

Hey everybody! (Well if there is anyone still there! I haven't posted in FOREVER!) I have been busy with projects and I have started a new hobby...Couponing! I'm sure that's not a big surprise, since watching the show. I have saved TONS! But I don't want a HUGE stockpile, so I'm not going to be that EXTREME! So I have been busy with learning, searching for newspapers, since they don't deliver the bigger newspaper in our area. We have to go to a town about 20 mins away at about 7:30 am on Sunday mornings, before Church. And there is a lot of cutting coupons, and shopping! But I have had time to craft, which is nice!
Here is a card I made my husband today! We own an A/C business, so I thought an outside condenser would be perfect for a card and it's the brand he loves and we sell...a Lennox! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #10- Guest Designer

Hey everybody! I am back today with my last card for the Lawnscaping Challenge as their Guest Designer. This has been so fun and such an honor! These ladies work extremely hard to make these challenges a success...and they are! Thanks ladies! :)
This weeks challenge is, make a project using polka dots! I love polka dots, so I loved this challenge! :)

Pendleton Place Card Project

Hey everybody! Well it's been a crazy last couple of days, with taking care of Chace and his boils! Those things are EVIL!!! Praying he gets better soon and that we never have to deal with those again!!!

Well I wanted to share a project that I was notified about. I was sent this email and I plan on sending LOTS of my cards that I have in my "box". Praise God, it was at the perfect time! I was just started to sort through them! So here is the email with all the info. I hope you will join us in this project.

Hello Ladies,

I am putting together a package of cards for the Pendleton Place, and wondered if you could possibly help me out?
I'm looking to put together a special care package for the children at Pendleton Place (www.pendletonplace.org) which will include an assortment of handmade cards. I'm working with one of the coordinators there, and I've offered to send in an assortment of cards for the kids to give each other for birthdays, get well, "have a nice day" kind of cards for each other, and to send to their family. It's an extremely worthwhile cause that has always been close to my heart. If you have an interest in participating, and/or could possibly post the information on your blogs, please let me know. I'm going to set the deadline for the end of May 27, 2011 to receive the cards, so there's plenty of time.

Happy Mother's Day!

This is a little late, seeing it's almost 12:00 pm! But I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day! Here is a card I made for a publication, that wasn't picked up. I think Chace should have given me this card today. I have been doctoring 2 boils on him! They looked like bites on Wednesday, started putting medicine on them Thursday, and took him to the Dr. Friday. She said they were boils and she gave him antibiotics and told us to do warm compresses, but I don't think they are draining enough! So I will be bringing him back to the Dr. tomorrow and we are hoping they lance them! So PLEASE pray that he gets better fast and that they can give him some relief from the pain! I hate to see my babies hurt! Chace is VERY tough, so to see him cry...it has to be bad! :(

Lawnscaping Challenge #9 & Guest Designer

Hey everybody! I am so excited about today's post! I was very honored when I was asked to be a guest designer for the Lawnscaping Challenge. I have played in several challenge over there, and I must say...it is SO fun! And this week is going to be a blast too! The theme for this week is Let's Party! Create any party themed project and it would be great if you would use a Lawn Fawn stamp set. The sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp! And the prizes is a $25.00 gift card! Woo Hoo! Great prize! :)
Now on to my cards. I needed to make some sample cards for a friend of mine. She is going to have her first Grandchild in June and her daughter-in-law needed some baby shower invitations. So I came up with a couple of invitations for her to choose some. And of course I wanted to try out my new Lawn Fawn Plus One stamps! So I actually made these cards before I knew what the challenge was! I love when that happens! :)

Here is the first card and it is one of them that she choose for me to do for her shower. I got the idea for this card from Paper Crafts Go To Sketches Magazine. Maile Belles made an adorable card similar to this one. Here is the front of the card inside.

Lawnscaping Challenge #7

Hey everybody! It's been awhile! I have lots to catch up on with ya'll, but I wanted to make a quick post. I made this page over the weekend at a Scrapbooking Retreat and when I came back, I noticed that the Lawnscaping Challenge this time was to make your own patterned paper with stamps. So this page was perfect for it! I LOVE this pic of Chace and his friend Cameron! They have been great friends since Pre-K, so they really are like bro's! :) And I was SO excited about using these stamps too!

ETA: Not quite sure why I can never click and zoom my pics?! But the journaling says, "Chace & Cameron had fros for the wacky hair day at school. Oct. '10"

Sorry this is short and sweet, but today is my baby boy's Birthday and his Daddy and I are making him a gift. So I need to get off of here and go finish...schools almost out! I will post pics of the finished gift later!

Girly, You Rock! Card

Hello! I wanted to share a card with ya'll, that I made for a teacher at Chace's school. She was actually my teacher in 6th grade and we were her first class to ever teach! Then she was Autumn's teach 2 years ago. She is a pretty young teacher and she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. It started off with a pea size knot under her arm. She is almost finished with her treatments and she is doing well. I made her this card a few months ago, when some of her friends had a fundraiser for her. It was in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I found the idea from this card, so I knew it would be prefect for her! :)

ETA: Please continue to pray for this teacher. Her name is Desiree'. She didn't get a good report back at the Dr. this week. But we serve a BIG and Awesome God, who can still heal it! Thank you!

Going Green!

Hey everybody! Happy St. Patrick's Day! I challenged myself to wear green everyday from March 1st - March 17th! I got the idea from the sweet and talented Susan Opel! She did this last year, and I thought it was a great idea for a scrapbook layout! Then she did it again this year, and I decided at the last minute that I would give it a try! I really wanted to do a layout with the pics!

I'm not going to lie...it was HARD for me! Green is not my favorite color, and I didn't think I had as many pieces of green clothing! My son asked me one day, "So if you run out of green things to wear, do you have to go buy stuff?!" He just thought that was ridiculous! :) I did go and buy a couple of things that were on sale or on clearance. Then I got a terrible cold during the process, so it was hard to make myself get up and get dressed to take a pic! You can see one of the days, I was feeling so bad, that I wore "green" hand sanitizer instead! :)

I set my camera up a couple of times to take the pic myself and the other days I had Chance and the kids do it for me! I don't have very many pics of myself, so this was WAY out of my comfort zone to do! I don't think I will ever do the "Going Green" again, but I did think about doing pink or red for Feb. 1st - Feb. 14th! That would be alot easier, since I LOVE pink! :)

I found this shirt at Goodwill! The leaves look just like PTI's Turning A New Leaf set! I love it! :)
Well I better get off of here. Chace has tutorials to get ready for the Math TAKS, Autumn is doing a "mock" tryout for cheerleading today, because tomorrow is the BIG try-out, and Chace has a regional All-Star Basketball tournament game tonight! If they win...they are on their way to Nationals! Woo Hoo! :) So it's a busy, busy day! :)

Welcome To The Neighborhood Card

Hello! Here is another reject card from months ago. I feel in Love with these cute little house stamps from Hero Arts! I don't really have anyone in mind for this card yet, because we really don't have neighbors. But if I do...then I will have a card! :) I real like this color combo! It reminds me that Summer, is just around the corner! :) Simple black embroidery floss, tied in a bow.

Sending Smiles Across the Miles Card

Well Hello! More cards to share! I really love using these Practicing Creativity Designs stamps! I need to get the additional stamps that go with this set, but I just said on my post yesterday, that i needed to enjoy my other stamps for awhile and use them more! :) But I do want to get the stamps set! :) I paired it with another PCD stamp set and the sentiment is from PTI.
I used lots of color on this card. I was trying out all those new Copic Ciao markers. :)

With Heartfelt Sympathy Cards

Hey! Can ya'll believe I am posting everyday?! Well I'm really preparing all of these beforehand, because I am sick and don't feel like getting off the couch to do anything else!

Here are some Sympathy cards I made for our customers from our business. Two of our customers loved ones, passed away in car accidents in the same week. So the least we could do was send them a card and let them know we were praying for them.

I love these Wplus9 Design Studio stamps! I really want to use them more, when I get time! I think I buy too many stamps at once, and then I don't use them enough! I want too, but I get busy and they get left behind! I really need to quit buying new ones right now and enjoy my older ones for awhile! :)

Thank you Card & a prayer request

Hey! Here is another card I made awhile back. I love these flowers, they are so fun to color! I can always use Thank you cards in my stash. So when I just want to make a card, it's usually something for someone in mind or a card I know I can use. (I'm sure ya'll do the same.)
ETA: I am sick at home and feeling bad! I went to the Dr. yesterday and she said I have 2 ear infections and a cold. No Strep or Flu, Thank the Lord! She put me on 24 days of antibiotics!! 10 days are for the cold now and 14 days are a low dose to see if I am carrying bacteria in my tonsils. She is thinking that could be the throat issue for the last 5 months. If this doesn't work, then she suggests take the tonsils out like the throat specialist thinks. And if the uvula doesn't go down after the surgery, then it might need to be trimmed, since sometimes they don't go back to normal after they have been enlarged! I started feeling worse last night. I started getting a bad cough and I'm hoarse! The Dr. just wanted me to take Allegra since I am taking so many antibiotics, but I need something for this cough. I have a call into them, but they still haven't called back with what to take! So I am really needing some more prayers right now! Thanks so much!

Happy Anniversary I Love You Card

Hey everybody! I am still trying to share all the older cards that I have made. I made this one for our employee's wife for their anniversary. I got the inspiration from a Maile Belles' card from one of the Paper Crafts mags. (I think it was a sketch mag? I would go look, but remember all my craft stuff isn't real organized right now! :) ) LOVE her style! I can't wait to see her new stamps she will be designing for PTI! I love these PTO Damask stamps too!
It was their 1 yr anniversary and these were their wedding colors. Here is a close-up.

I pray that I will get into the Dr. today for my sore throat! Autumn has her first track meet this afternoon, so I really want to get some meds, so I can feel better.

Beautiful Morning Glories & Cards

Hey! I wanted to show you these Beautiful wild flowers that grow on our fence in front of our house. I LOVE them! I'm sure a lot of people would think of these as weeds and would pull them up, but I think they are God's many Blessings and I enjoy looking at them! These pics were taking a few months ago, but everything is starting to bloom around here and I'm sure that has something to do with my cold (or whatever this is I have)! Here is a close-up.

And when I first saw these PTI stamps, I knew I wanted them! Because they reminded me of those flowers in my yard. Here are a few cards for my growing box of cards! I think I need to get some cards together as gift sets to friends or something!?!
I made these cards months ago too, so I was just starting out with my Copic Ciao markers. I stamped the first one on the card, but the second one I stamped and cut out and popped it off the card.

Hey everybody! Well it has been a loonnnggg day for me! Chace is still playing All Star basketball and they have been doing tournaments every weekend. He had a game last night and they won and then they had to be at the gym (about 30 mins from where we live) at 7:30 am this morning and they won that game. We had to go back to our town and pick Autumn up at her friends house and then had to go back to the gym and they played again at 1:00 pm! They didn't win that game, we played the same team at last weekends tournament and lost to them then too. That team goes to Nationals every year and wins first place, except last year, they got 2nd place. So it is great practice for us to play against them! But they played a great game today! :)
Oh, and on yesterday's game, Chace's good friend Cameron, fell and landed on his mouth and BROKE his front tooth off! It looks BAD! He came with a mouth piece on for today's games and he will be visiting the dentist Monday! Poor thing! :( But he was a great sport about it! He looks like he's been playing hockey instead of basketball! :)
I started having a sore throat yesterday and it just got worse as the night went on! I didn't get much sleep because it was hurting so bad! I woke up this morning and my uvula was BIG (bigger than the normal big)! It did go down a lot after taking Advil, but my throat is still hurting! So I guess I got Strep from my kids from 2 weeks ago! So I'm praying I get in the Dr. Monday and get some meds! I can't stand a sore throat! :(

So on to the crafty stuff. Here are some gifts I made for a friend's sweet twin girls (Hayden & Hannah) for their B-Day's. We are the Warriors at school and my friend is the girls High School Basketball Coach. So they wear these outfits to the games to watch their Momma coach! :) I made them both a shirt and hair bow and I bought basketball type pants to go with it. Here are the little cards I made for them.Well the kids went to stay at their grandmas house with some of their cousins, so me and Chance are laying around watching TV and on our laptops. He went and picked me up cough drops and 3 different kinds of ice cream for my throat. :)

Good morning! Well I was up earlier than usual this morning. In Texas we have a state test called the TAKS test in school. It is different portions and today is the Writing part for Autumn and Chace. Chance is the breakfast cook around here, so the kids put their breakfast order in to him yesterday! :) So he was up fixing breakfast and I was up making them lunches, visiting, & encouraging them about the test. It was a good morning and I am praying that all the kids will have peace and knowledge when they do their tests. If you could, please pray for all the kids today too. Thanks!

I am still trying to get all those cards and projects posted. So today I thought I would share a card I made for a couple of Autumn's friends and our neighbor asked if I could make her granddaughter a Bday card too, so I went with the same design. I only took pics of one, because they were all the same. I love the color combo and the BIG rhinestone! :) Here is a close up.

I'm sure some of you have read that my husband and I are remodeling our master bedroom & laundry room? Well we had a laundry room & closet combo, since we have lived here. Well we decided to make a walk-in closet in our bedroom instead, because our room is huge! So he made a new closet and we added a hallway and split the old laundry room/closet up and made a laundry room by itself and a new little craft room for me! :) We are planning on building a new house in the near future, so we will eventually make the craft room into a bathroom for the master bedroom and sell the house. Our laundry room is almost completely finished (other than decor) & today is the day that I get to move all my craft stuff in my new craft room! :) I am SO excited! We have a few more things to finish this morning, but I hope to be moving stuff in later today. I think I may go look for some fabric today so I can make curtains! :)

Miss You card

Hey everybody! I miss you! :) It's been awhile since I posted last. So I thought I would post a Miss You card, that I made months back. I really love this stamp! Can you tell?! :) Life has been busy and is getting busier and busier! The kids have LOTS of sports going on! They seem to enjoy every sport, so they do all of them and keeps us busy too! But we enjoy it! :)

I haven't submitted to any magazines in MONTHS! But the PC call for sketches, just looked too fun to pass up! My craft stuff is still a mess, but I still want to try and create and submit something! I hope to be in my craft room by tonight and I can't WAIT! :) So I better go and start creating! :)

Happy Valentine's Day & Lawnscaping Challenge #3

Hey everybody! Happy Valentine's Day! Yes, I know that it is officially the 15th, but I had good intentions to post all day, but never had time. My kids are on their Winter break for the week and we have a busy week planned!

I wanted to share these cute little cherry pie's in a jar that I made for the family today. I got the idea from a crafter on facebook and she posted this link. I thought that they were perfect for Valentine's Day and perfect for the Lawnscaping Challenge! Where it's all about Love! :)
I don't usually like to bake, but I loved making these and they are SO good! They were a big hit with the family and look at those cute hearts! :) The hearts fell a little bit after baking.
And these little Lawn Fawn stamps were perfect for this project! :)
And more pics, because they are so darn cute! :)
I also wanted to share the cards I made for Chance and the kids last night. We are still in the middle of remodeling and I had to stand at my craft table FULL of stuff and make their cards! :)

Please someone tell me that you have heard the saying Olive Juice, and it sounds like "I Love You" if you just move your mouth to the words, but don't say them?! Me and a friend of mine use to do that in grade school. :) I was excited when I found the stamp at michael's! I thought it was a perfect card for Chance! :)
And this card fits the Lawnscaping Challenge too. This card is from inspiration from a Bealls gift card, that me and Autumn saw last weekend while shopping! :)
And I used more Lawn Fawn Stamps for the inside of the card. (The card is white, but it looks pink.)And here is Chace's...a little monster! :)

Hey! I have another card to share today! I made these for a couple of friends of mine who helped out with the football boys Homecoming float this year. Autumn was cheering at her first game of the season and it was away, so my sweet friends took care of getting the float together for us, so we could go watch Autumn.

Well I am going to attempt to start showing all those cards and projects that I made and never had time to post! Here's the first one.
I love these Hero Arts stamps! I won them not too long ago and let me just say...they are so fun to color! I didn't put a sentiment on it, I figured I could put one on it before I sent it to someone. I made the card around Thanksgiving, so I guess that is the reason for the "Fall" colors, but really I wear these colors ALL the time! :)

Hey everybody! Sorry it is taking me a little longer than I thought to draw the winners! We were suppose to get snow today...but we didn't! We got ice! Lawnscaping Challenge #2 & Yes, it's another Card Drive card! :)

Hey everybody! I wanted to stop in real quick and share a card I made today! I have been CRAZY busy with getting the Card Drives wrapped up. I have been getting pics of all the cards together and trying to get big enough boxes for all the cards! I will be sending them off by Thursday. We are also feeling the effects of the arctic blast! It dropped from 73* t0 23* in about a 24 hr period yesterday! That's 50*! How crazy is that?! We have chances of snow maybe late tomorrow or Friday! :)

I wanted to play in the Lawnscaping Challenge and the deadline is tonight. I needed a little break today, so I made this card. It's another one for the Card Drive...of course! :) The Challenge was to CASE one of Kelly Marie's cards. I chose this one.I used some of of my favorite Lawn Fawn stamps, My Silly Valentine . These stamps are PERFECT for the Card Drive! :) I made a boyfriend for the apple and the banana! :) And who would have thought to tie the left over ends in a bow....Kelly Marie?! Too Cute! :)

Giving To More Hospitals!

Hello! Guess what?!.....We have met our goal for Card's For St. Jude's! Woo Hoo! Thank ya'll SO much!
My sweet friend Kelley helped me out again this year and contacted Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville TN, and they are going to accept 238 cards this year too! We sent 230 cards to them last year. And believe it or not, we have gotten SO many cards the last few days, that we have met our goal with them too! Woo Hoo! Thank you Jesus! :) So yesterday I contacted Texas Children's Hospital, and they have said they will gladly accept cards too! The lady I spoke with, said that she still remembered the cards from last year and she said those cards were so beautiful! :)
They see SO many patients a day, that they can't even give me a number! So we always send all of the cards that we have left from the card drive.

If you are wanting to send cards, Monday is the last day I will receive them! PLEASE make sure if you send them this late, that they will get here by then!

I have been packaging up the cards and getting a BIG prize together. I have had several people (who want to remain anonymous), send me all kinds of goodies! I will be posting that pic soon on the sponsor and prizes page. Thank you again to all of the Sponsors! Ya'll are AMAZING! Hey! Well my husband has been remodeling our Master bedroom and that means, I have been moving around and cleaning up my craft area! And while I was cleaning, I found all kinds of stuff I had stamped and colored and just put in a little basket on my craft table. So I thought...."Hey, I can use these on my cards!" So here is and image I stamped about a year ago and I just added i {heart} u, using some of my Lawn Fawn stamps. It's a very simple card, but I like it! :)

You "WARM" My {heart} Card

Hey everybody! Some of you might have read about my dog Tucker breaking his elbow. He had surgery on it Friday and stayed at the vet until yesterday. I went and picked him up and this is what he looked like! :( You can't see very well, but he wasn't really up for a photo shoot! His whole front leg is bandaged up with a huge splint on it! It is straight, not bent and it is a chore for him to even walk! :( He is staying inside our house in his kennel and he has been sleeping a lot, because there is really nothing else he can do right now. He will have it bandaged for the next 3 weeks. Let's just say...it's going to be a looonnnggg 3 weeks! Look at the empty IV bag on his foot! It's so he doesn't drag a hole in it. :(
He woke me up this morning at 5:30 to go out to use the restroom, as I stood out on the porch waiting on him, a stink bug FLEW in my HAIR! YUCK! (I don't know if everybody knows what those are, but we have them here in Southeast Texas, and they STINK! They are just small little bugs, but they pack a nasty smell! I had to come in and wash my hair before I laid back down in the bed.
Here is another card I made for the St. Jude's Card Drive. It's very similar to another card I made a couple of weeks ago.

More Cards for St. Jude's

Hey everybody! Well today I wanted to share some more cards I made for St. Jude's! I made them all with the same layout and I used the Lawn Fawn, My Silly Valentine stamps again! It is a lot easier to make several cards that are the same then have to think of a design for all of them! I have made TONS of cards for the drive and I have really enjoyed it and I can't make myself stop! :)

If you have made cards and have not sent them to me...please send them soon! It is really the last week, because next Monday is the last day for me to accept them. I want to make sure they get there in plenty of time! And PLEASE remember to add your email address with your information when you send them! I have a couple of people who sent cards and there is no email address, so it is kind of hard for the sponsors to get in touch with you for your prize! Well that's it for today! Our dog Tucker hurt his front leg Thursday night. We took him to the vet Friday morning and they did an xray and said he broke his elbow! We are thinking he either was stepped on or kicked by one of our horses. If he would have been hit by a car, it would have done more damage than just his elbow. He gets out of the fence all the time! So they had to do surgery on him Friday and put a pin in and they kept him the whole weekend. So I have to go today and pick him up. He will have a splint on his leg for 8 weeks and it has to stay dry and clean and we have to keep him from chewing it off! So that means he will be inside in his kennel A LOT! He is an outside dog, so this is going to be a change for us and him! We usually let him come in when it's cold outside and he is VERY good when he comes in, and snores A LOT! :)

We are doing a little remodeling at our house. Some Bunny Loves You Card

Hey! Well I had a good weekend! Chace had a basketball game Saturday, they lost but it was a great game! Then Sunday, we had a great day at church! We really feel like we belong at this church we are going to now! They had a healing service Sunday night, so I went to get a healing for this throat issue I have been dealing with for almost 4 mths! And I am believing that it is healed, in Jesus name, Amen! :) I hope ya'lls weekend was good too! :)

You "WARM" my {heart} card

Hey everybody! Have ya'll seen this new challenge? It's called Lawnscaping Challenge. It's challenges using Lawn Fawn stamps! I love this idea, so I just had to play! I am cutting it close, because today is the last day! I have been busy with another project and with the Cards for St. Jude's, so I haven't had time to play. But today, I put paper work on hold and got busy. I knew I wanted to make a Valentine card for the card drive...so here is what I made.
Look...it's a girl fire! :) I used my Cozy Christmas stamp set for the his & her fire. I stamped it on a clear acetate sheet and then laid my paper over it and the image stamped on it. then I had to trace around it with a black marker to make it stand out more. And I added eyelashes and a bow. Since the challenge was to be all about snow, I tore paper to make it look like snow. I used the Jessie's ABC for the sentiment and And I also stamped Happy Valentines Day in the inside using the My Silly Valentine set. (Forgot to take a pic of that! ) :)

Monster Card

Hey! I had a little update for those of you who know about my throat issue I have been having the last couple of months. I went to the dentist today and he took out the metal post, he is going to leave it out for 4 weeks and see if the throat issue gets better. I am a little nervous for the numbing to wear off, because then I will see if it will be any different! But I am believing in Jesus name, that it is going to be healed! Amen! :)

My daughter helped me on the sentiment, and I LOVE it! :) The image is from Squigglefly, the name of it is Monster Mania: Spike. It's not the best coloring in the world! I actually got some new Neenah white cardstock and it is suppose to be really good for coloring, so I can't wait to try it out. But I love the sentiment and I think the kids will too! Maybe they will look at monsters different! :)
I added glossy accents to his eyes. (Love that stuff!)You can see it a little better here.

Hey everybody! I wanted to share some very special pictures today! First of all today was a BEAUTIFUL day here in Texas! A Great day for a Baptism! Although it was in the 60's today, the water was about 45*! :) But my little man said he didn't care...he wanted to be baptized in the creek!
We bought 42 acres about 3 yrs ago, so we could build a new house on it and a creek runs right through it. We have already cleared alot of trees and started digging a catfish pond, making a new driveway, and putting the dirt on our new home site. But through the 3 yrs of owning it, we have spent lots of time out there, camping, swimming, hunting, and dreaming of living out there in our new home! Chace LOVES it out there, so we knew that he would want to be baptized there too. The place where Chance baptized him, is the same place we would swim on HOT Texas Summer days (before the last Hurricane knocked the rope swing tree in the creek, but that will be out of there soon, so we can swim out there again this Summer!) :)
So here is a glimpse of our Amazing day today!

I really LOVE this picture! It really shows the Love Chance has for his son and his passion for Christ! Here he is getting Baptized in Jesus name! Thank you all for the sweet comments and support for my sweet little man's decision in Christ! We are so proud and happy for him! Jesus is SO good! :)

Amazing News & Valentine Card

Hey everybody! Well I wanted to share some AMAZING news with ya'll! My baby boy Chace asked Jesus into his heart last night! We are SO happy and excited for him! This is the BEST news EVER, that a parent can hear! Thank you Jesus! :) Chance will be baptizing him in the creek out at our new property (where we will build our new home), I think this weekend (before it gets too cold)! :) Since Chance quit pastoring last year, the creek is where we have discussed Chace being baptized when he accepted Christ. Chance has baptised me and Autumn, so this is going to be an Awesome day for Chance too! Chace said he is not worried about it being cold at all! Chance has done baptisms at the lake before with some of our youth and it was Amazing! I can just image how this will be for us! Can you tell I am a Proud parent?! :)

Ok, onto the card. Here is a card I made for the St. Jude Card Drive. The Card Drive is going SO good! I received 3 emails last night for more sponsors, Thank ya'll so much! I will be adding those soon to the prize page.
I have feel in LOVE with these cute stamps from Lawn Fawn. They are the My Silly Valentine stamps. I know they will put a smile on those sweet kids faces at St. Jude's! :)

Teachers Gifts

Hey everybody! First of all I want to say THANK YOU for all the support already for the St. Jude's card drive! If this is your first time visiting my blog, here is the link to check out the Card Drive or you can click on the St. Jude heart on the left hand side of the sidebar.
This is the last of the Christmas Gifts, cards, & tags (I think)! :) I made these for the kids teachers. I ended up making 9, (but there is only 8 in the picture, I had one more to make and the lighting was good, so I took the pics before they were all done!) :)
They are calendars using the Papertrey Ink supplies and the flowers are from Wplus9 Design Studio-Ever After stamp set! LOVE them! Here is one of the Calendars with all the different color pages! I just LOVE color! :)

Here is the calendar finished, with the little clip holding them together and I gave them each an easel too.Here is the bag that I put them in and I made little tags for each of them.

Hey everybody! I wanted to get my Christmas cards & gifts posted. So today I wanted to start with my Christmas cards I sent out. They are very similar and have the same color combo. I couldn't decide on one design, so I did several! I have SO many Christmas stamps and that makes it even harder to decide! :) I have so much of the houndstooth paper, it's the same I used last year! And I still have tons! I love that stuff! :)
I sent out about 40 cards this year and I sent them out about a week before Christmas...barely in time! But they were sent, so that's all that matters! :)

Cards for St. Jude

Hey everybody! Happy New Year!
Since this month is my Blog's 2 year anniversary, I figured I would try and give back again this year. So back by popular demand is...another St. Jude Valentine's Day card drive! Woo Hoo!

Last year's card drive was such a HUGE success, that I really feel like I am suppose to do it again!

Here are some of the guidelines from

St. Jude hospital and a few of mine.

(St. Jude's has added a few new rules, so please read carefully.)

* Cards need to be a Valentine theme.

* Cards can't have anything about 'Get Well Soon', 'Feel Better', or anything reminding them of being sick. (Only Valentine Cards)

* Please make cards that can be used for any gender or age. (This could be a little tricky, but I think you can handle it!) :)

* Cards must be able to fit into a 4 1/2 X 5 3/4 envelope. (I will provide clear envelopes for each card, so there is no need to send one with your card.)

* You can include a message in the inside, but please remember, nothing reminding them of being sick. (Maybe just a Valentine sentiment.) You can also sign your first name but not your last name or where you are from. (St. Jude's rules state that they can't give out the givers info.)

*I will be excepting cards for the whole month of January. ( Jan. 1 - Jan. 31, Please don't send any out after that, because I have to send them off so they will get to TN. in time for Valentines Day. We will not be driving there this year.) At the end of the month, I will pick random winners for prizes. I will be adding more prizes, often. The more cards you send, the more times your name goes into the drawing. Let your kids get involved too! :)

* Please send a piece of paper with your name, address, email address, and the amount of cards you sent. (It will help when I have the drawings.) Alot of the prizes will be sent from the sponsor, so I NEED to have your email address for sure!

Merry Christmas Eve! Hey everybody! Long time no post! Life has been VERY busy as I'm sure it has for everybody! I have been making lots of cards and I wanted to share some of those today.
These are some cards that I made some of my close friends, we called ourselves the Football Mommas back in football, but since we are starting basketball, we can call ourselves the Basketball Mommas! :)
We wanted to get together and make Christmas cards this year, but life was too busy and we didn't get around to doing it. So I made them each a card and I made them some tags too. Here are all of the cards together. I used my American Crafts Christmas paper that I won last year. I love that stuff, the colors are so pretty! And here they are by themselves. I made them like a quilt-y pattern (I'm sure that's not a word), and I thought it fit good with the scripture, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given. Isaiah 9:6" And I stitched on each one and added some of my twine from The Twinery. LOVE that stuff! And here are the tags. I made them 10 each.I used several different Christmas stamps on all of these. I realized I have Tons of Christmas stamps...and that make it hard for me to choose which ones I want to use. So I just used all of them! :)
I made some more cards very similar to these for my MIL to give out, but I skipped the stitching and twine, I was running out of time. :)

Everything But The Kitchen Sink Challenge # 28- Textures

Good morning! It's time for another EBTKS challenge! I had a really fun time with this project! Ann used this picture of this fuzzy blanket and pillow as her inspiration. So we were to make a card with textures. My first thought was a fuzzy baby blanket. So I figured since the blanket and pillow were blue, I went with a boy theme. Here is my baby boy card. Hey everybody! Here is another Thank You card that wasn't accepted. It was the first time I have ever used the Butterfly dies and I think the last! :( Not because I don't love them, but I forget that I have them or I get new stuff and I want to use it! I need to break out all my "older" stuff and use it more!

I am here today with some Birthday cards I made for Chace's friends months ago! :) The friends were actually on his baseball team at the time, so I figured I should make them in their "real" uniforms! Sweet Baby Card & Custom made ribbon

Hey everybody! I wanted to show you a card that I made with inspiration for Kristina Werner. I loved her card and I love this one! There is just something about those different color onesies, that I LOVE! :)And look at this ribbon. I custom made it to match the onesies. It was a satin white ribbon and I just used my Copics to make stripes. I have to do this again! :) Here are the colors I used!

Well I am going to spend the day with some of the Momma's from Chace's football team today. We are going over to one of the ladies houses to make breakfast burritos and make a slide show of the boys for their banquet this Friday! We have all became really close and because we don't see each other almost everyday at football practice anymore, so we all decided to get together every week for lunch or craft (I can't wait for that)! I think we might make Christmas cards soon! I need to get that together! :) We had lunch the week before last and we were in the restaurant for almost 4 hours! Most of us are SAHM, so we are able to get together while the kids are in school. We all laugh til it hurts! :)

Hey everybody! I wanted to share a card I made for a PC publication that didn't get accepted. I used the Mehndi Medallions for Wplus9 Design Studio. I really love these stamps and I love this color combo! :) Here is a close-up of those Beautiful stamps!
I have still been dealing with my throat. I am still taking the antibiotics the Dr. prescribed, but still having issues. The thought comes in my mind, will it ever go away, but I have to keep believing in the healing! I'm getting very frustrated and starting to wonder if it has anything to do with the shot I received from the dentist that day, like damage to the nerves or something! A million ideas have went through my head,of what it could be, but I still have no answers!
I am still praying for a complete healing in Jesus name and ask if you would continue to pray to. Thanks so much for praying so long already!

A Simple Layout

Hey! Happy Friday! It will be a busy weekend for us. We have the "Super Bowl" for the Pee Wee football league at our school, so that means 6 play-off games tomorrow at our field and hours of working in the concession stand! Chance will be announcing 3 of the games. Our team did get beat a couple of weeks ago in our first play-off game. The other team did have some cheating going on and the refs had some bad calls and the score board wasn't working, which meant the clock didn't work! So they had to keep asking the press box what the time was! Very aggravating, and I'm not just complaining because I'm a sore loser...really I'm not! If the team was better, than I can admit that...but they weren't! Our boys were Devastated! :(
Our older team from our town is in the Supper Bowl, and I really think they will win! :)

Ok, I wanted to share a layout that I made over the Summer. I know...I am waaayyy behind on posting my projects! I really am trying to get caught up! :)
I have had this pic printed out for awhile, I usually would have wanted it in black and white, because of all the colors. But it was printed, so I just went with it! I really like the collage of flowers and the butterfly.

Wishing You A Speedy Recovery & Thank You Veterans

Hey everybody! I have been trying to get back into posting on my blog. I have so many projects and sometimes it just seems like to much work to even get started on editing pics! But I edited a ton of pics this weekend, so that helps alot!

So today's card is a card I made for my sweet friend Kelley! I tried to make a card that she would like, so I made it on kraft and used a single black pearl! And that is what she told me she noticed first! I love when that happens! :)

I also want to Thank all the Veterans that have served, are serving, and will serve one day! At my son's school they are having a book fair this week, and the theme of the book fair is "Hero's"! They had to do a project, where they had to write about their Hero and draw a picture of them. Chace wrote about his Grandpa David (Chance's Dad) and how he fought in the Vietnam War. He told his Daddy he would have wrote about him, but he wanted to write about how his Grandpa fought in the war! How sweet is that?!

Me and the kids never got to meet David, he died from cancer when Chance was 13 years old. But I know that we would have LOVED him and he would have LOVED us! He truly loved Chance and I know now that Chance shows his kids love the way his Dad showed him love! I wanted to share a pic of his dad when he was in his late 20's. He looks SO much like Chance! :)

Hey everybody! I wanted to share a card today! It's for all of you who have been praying for me! I really Thank Ya'll SO much! Prayer is VERY important in my life and I take it very seriously. Please let me know if I can ever repay you, by praying for you too!
My little man "Chace" is home sick with strep throat! :(
But praise God there hasn't been any fever! Remember last year when he had it and had 105.3 fever! That was SCARY!! But it is very contagious, so he has to stay home from school until tomorrow. I don't like for them to be sick, but I do enjoy them being home with me! :)
The card looks better in person. It's a little hard to get a good pic with this Smokey Shadow cardstock for PTI.

Handmade Gifts

Hey everybody! I have been going through all of my pics and getting them edited so I can post them. I have SO many cards and gifts that I have never posted and I really want to post them. So here is a set of gifts that I made for my twin nieces and then I figured that I could make their sister (my other niece) a set too. Their school mascot is the Bull Dogs! But I did give the twins money too, so they felt like they got more than their sister! :) This is the first time I have ever made bows like this. I looked it up on YouTube and figured it out how to do it! They were really easy, I will be making more of those!
Here are both of them together. I also bought black shorts to go with all of them and they looked SO cute when they tried it all on.
My niece Gracie is cheering for the Pee Wee football team this year, so she needed a shirt and bow like this for spirit day at school! :)
I made a tag to match for Gracie's. (The twins tags matched their cards and bags. I will post those next time.) I made some little pom poms for the tag.
And the tag on the bag.
I used a PTI (Ploka Dot Basics II) stamp for the dots and Lawn Fawn's (Harold's ABCs) for the name.
We have had a pretty relaxing weekend! I LOVE when we have those! :)

Caring Hearts Card Drive

Hey everybody! I am finally getting my old programs downloaded on my new laptop, so it is starting to feel more normal for me. So I was finally able to post my pics of the cards I made for Vera's Caring Hearts Card Drive! She is collecting cards for the elderly in nursing home for the holidays. I really do enjoy making cards for card drives and I really want to make it a point to do it more! Thanks for the card drive Vera! I ended up making 16 cards for this drive, but I am going to just show a few of them. I LOVE the new Practicing Creativity stamps!

I love adding glossy accents too! Love the new PTI stamps too! And who doesn't love this turkey?!These lights are so fun and glossy accents make them even better! :)

There is still time to send some cards in for the card drive. I hope you will join us in making some elderly people VERY happy this season! :)

I wanted to give an update on my step brother. He was released from the hospital on Thursday and was moved to a Rehabilitation center for 5 to 7 days to work on his walking. He is doing REALLY well! Thank ya'll for all the prayers!

I did go in for my CT scan on Thursday and I have an appointment with the throat specialist on Monday to go over all the results. Praying that they figure out the real issues and that there is a quick fix for it too!

I can't believe it is already November! October has been crazy for me with all the throat issues and my step-brother being in the accident! I do have some updates for you!
Last night I got a surprise call from my step-brother! He said they took the trac out and he wanted to Thank me for all the prayers! It was so good to hear from him! Thank ya'll for all the prayers! We are truly seeing God's hand in this! :)
And for an update for me: Well the Dr.'s and I are still unsure what is going on! I went to my thyroid Dr. and he said that the nodule was 7.5mm 2 years ago and it is now 3mm. So that means it has shrunk! Praise God for that! He also said that he doesn't believe this has anything to do with the thyroid! All the blood work came back normal! Praise God for that too! But I am still left not knowing anything! He suggested go back to the throat specialist, so i went back there last Thursday. He did a scope to look at my throat and he didn't see anything wrong there. He seems to think it is a stone in my salava gland. They can cause pain and swelling, (Praise God I haven't had pain!) So he wants to do a CAT scan on that area and see if there are stones in there and see what is going on! I know the Lord is going to take care of me, I am just SO ready to get back to normal! Not knowing is very frustrating! Thank ya'll for all the prayers through all of this!

Hey everybody! Well it has been a week since my last post. I thought I would check-in and let you know what I've been up to. Well Monday was my Birthday! I turned the Big 3-1! I had a pretty good day! My sweet hubby bought me a new laptop. I went with a HP & it's Pink! It is alot better & faster than my old computer, I just need to get use to using something different! Thank you for all of the Brthday wishes and Thank you to the friends who sent me cards! I LOVED them all! :)
I also called my Dr. on Monday and found out that they got my results back from my ultrasound that they did on my thyroid (almost 2 weeks ago)! Not sure if they would have let me know if I didn't call them about something different! :( It has been a very scary month for me and it feels like they have just overlooked me! (I'm not very happy about that!) But anyway, I now have an appointment with my Thyroid Dr. I found out about 4 yrs ago that I had a nodule on my thyroid, so I started seeing a specialist and he checked it often and everything seemed normal and the nodule wasn't growing. I missed my appointment 2 years ago and and I didn't ever reschedule. It was on my to do list untill all this throat stuff started! Not sure what the size of the nodule was before, but it is now 3mm big. I will find out if it has grown since 2 years ago, when I go to the Dr. on Tuesday. My throat has been pretty good, I still feel something in my throat, but I guess that could be the nodule and it still has flare-ups like it is swelling sometimes. But I am very Thankful that it's better than it was!

I found out tonight that my Step-brother is making progress! Sunday will be 3 weeks since his car accident. He has been in a medicated coma since then. But today he opened his eyes, his mom stuck out her tongue at him and he stuck his back at her, and she said give me a kiss and he puckered his lips! PRAISE GOD! We are all so excited about this news! The Dr. said they are unsure how bad his head trauma is, but after today.....we are seeing the miracle God is doing in his life and health! :) He has had some set backs with infections and things, but today is a GREAT day! Thank you all for the prayers for him and for me and for our whole family! Ya'll really are great friends! Thank you!

Well I guess I need to get into bed! I have a busy weekend! I do get to sleep in in the morning (I am very excited about that)! Then Chace has a football game and I am hosting a baby shower for a friend of mine. I have been making LOTS of cute stuff, so I hope to be sharing that soon! Stay tuned! :) I am trying to get all my info from my other computer onto my new one so I can post my card pics!

It is going to be really hard to see him like that. He has been apart of our lives since he was 2!

And Please keep Kelley in your prayers too. She is having surgery today.

Well I wanted to give ya'll another update on my throat issue. I'm sure some of you may be getting tired of hearing about it, because I am really tired of talking about it! But I know some of you may want to know and I still need prayers, so I wanted to let ya'll know.

Chance took me to the ER last night to get the uvula 'hangy thing in my throat' looked at. I started having a little swelling in it Friday afternoon and I hadn't noticed it before, so I wanted to be safe and get it looked at. The Nurse Practitioner came in and said it was swollen and long and he thought I should be admitted in the hospital for a few days to get IV steroids. He said he was going to get the Dr to let him see what he thought. He looked at it and said that I didn't meet the criteria to be admitted. He said it didn't look very swollen and that he sees WAY worse, so he didn't think it was necessary. So they sent me home. I will follow up with my Dr tomorrow to get the test results from last week and she said she might want to send me to a throat specialist.

I am still praying that the Lord will heal it completely because I know there is still some issues going on in there! It is still not 100%, but I do feel like it is way better than before. So Praise God for that! Thank you all some much for the prayers and concerns! It's really helped me!

Hey everybody! My computer has finally decided to work today, so I thought I would post some cards. The first one I started making on my "Friday night WCMD". I really love how simple it is. I made it for a friend who just got married. I really love these Wplus9 Design Studio Ever After stamps. I have really been working on my coloring now that I have lots of markers and I LOVE it! I still need lots of work, but I am self taught...so it might be a while! :)

I made this one for Chace's friend's family who just lost their Grandmother. The card was given to them from our "football program".I love coloring these flowers. :)

Hey everybody! I just wanted to give ya'll a little update on my "throat issue". Well I had the steroid shot on Monday and by Wednesday I was still having a little swelling and not 100% back to normal (but it was better!) . So I called the Dr. and they wanted me to come in and get a ultrasound on my thyroid and glands and I had some blood work done to see if there was an infection. I should have those results by tomorrow. The Dr. gave me a low dose of steroids to try and clear up the rest of the problem, I started those this morning.
I really want to Thank everyone SO much for the prayers! They really do help! :)

I wanted to post some cards, but my computer is having issues again. So I guess they won't be posted today! I have a very busy day today with Autumn's pep-rally, open house at Chace's school, and Autumn cheers at 2 football games tonight.

World Card Making Day Late & Another Prayer Request

Hey everybody! Well I was not able to craft all day on World Card Making Day! Chace's friends grandmother passed away and Chance did the service for the family on Saturday morning and then Chace had a football game that afternoon (they won, he made 2 touchdowns :) ), then we camped out at our soon to be "home site"! :) We camped in a tent and the weather was perfect! We got to visit with some of our "soon to be new neighbors" that night and just enjoyed alot of family time! We woke up and had hot chocolate, eggs, and smores! What a great breakfast! :) It was just a Blessed weekend!

I did however get to craft late Friday night into early Saturday morning, so I guess these cards were technically made on WCMD! :) I just didn't get to post them until now.

I really love this stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Cozy Christmas. It is so much fun and I love masking with it! :) I took the little fire man off of his log. I didn't want my stocking to get too hot! :)Here is a close-up of the glossy accents I added to the glass of milk. LOVE this stuff! :)

I really like this card, and of course I had to add glossy accents to the fire. :)
Santa likes chocolate milk too! :)
This is a plain one, but I think the stockings speak for themselves! :)

Some of my friends on Facebook might already know this, but I was asking for prayer yesterday. I mentioned last week that I had some dental work done. Well when they took off my old crown, they replaced it with a medicated filling that tasted TERRIBLE! Well my throat started felling weird and maybe a little swollen. I called the dentist that afternoon and they said, they hadn't ever had any problems before. The dentist said he has used it before on my teeth, but I told him that he usually covers it with a temporary crown. This was just a filling with nothing covering it.

So anyway, I went to the first specialist and he only gave me a 50/50 chance on being able to save the tooth! (Not good odds!) So I went to my dentist the next day and told him to take that medicated filling out and replace it with a regular one. So he did and he wanted to send my to get a second opinion from another specialist. So I went the next day and that guy was AMAZING! He took one x-ray and said, "I can fix it! Do you want to go ahead and do it?" I was like, NOW? So I had ANOTHER root canal on that tooth. (Who gets 2 root canals on the same tooth you ask?....Winter!) :) Thank goodness Chance was there, because I was SO numb that my eye was weird! My eye didn't really close when I blinked it! :) So I wouldn't have been able to drive! It stayed numb from 11 am until 6:30 pm that evening! So the tooth is now done! (other than getting the new crown on) Praise God! Just a little soreness in my jaw.

But yesterday I finally had to call my Dr. about my throat. I think it was getting worse. She seems to think it was a allergic reaction to that filling! I am allergic to Benedryl (I know it's weird!), so she had to give me a steroid shot. So please pray that this helps. I woke up this morning and I think it feels a little less tight. Praise God! I am just taking it one day at a time. I am just trusting in the Lord for Him to heal it! I have never dealt with anything like this before, but I do know that if my throat feels like this again, I will go to the Dr. sooner! This has been some scary stuff and VERY aggravating!

Have A Splendid Day Card

Hey everybody! Well my computer is acting up again! :( I guess it's time to get a new one, it's not charging sometimes. So since it hasn't been working, I haven't been online much. I guess I need to start looking for a new one. Any suggestions on what kind? I have a Toshiba now and I really love it.
This weekend has been extremely busy! Football game Friday night, Autumn had a Volleyball tournament all day Saturday at our school, so that meant I worked the whole time. We got there at 7:30 am and didn't leave until 7:00 pm! They got 3rd in the tournament! :) Then Chace had a game (I didn't get to make it because of the tournament), but they won 30 to 0 and had to call the game in the 3rd quarter because of the lightening. Then we got some of Chace's baseball team together today to play a little baseball. It was a great weekend! Tonight we are getting a cool front and we are so excited! It will be in the 60's in the morning and the high is only suppose to be in the low 70's tomorrow! It has been a LONG time since we have seen those temps! :)

I also want to ask for prayer for my brother Chris. He was on his way home from work Friday and was hurting on his right side pretty bad and stopped at the hospital to get it checked out. They found that his gallbladder was full of stones and they decided to take it out on Saturday. They took it out and also fixed a hernia. He is doing pretty good, but please pray for him to continue to heal quickly.

Happy Fall Ya'll!

(I just had to say that!) :)
Well I was up early today, it was 'See You At The Pole' at school today. If you don't know what that is, it is when everyone comes together around the flag pole at school and pray for the children, teachers, parents, community, our countries leaders, and the world. I really enjoy doing that every year. It really shows the kids about prayer and God!
So we were up early this morning for that and then me and Chance had dentist appointments too. We went in for cleanings and I told them about a tooth that has been bothering me when I eat. So they looked at it and decided that I needed to have a new crown put on. So they took the old crown off and found a cavity under it. So they did an xray and think that it might be infected down past the old root canal. It doesn't hurt all the time, only when I eat on it. So they are sending me to a specialist next week to see if it root canal needs to be redone. (Lord I hope not!) So I am now sporting around an ugly looking temporary filling on a molar and it tastes like band aids! :( This should be an interesting week! :) Please pray it doesn't have to be redone and I can get a new crown on soon! :)

So anyway today is the first day of Autumn. I love this time of year, but I just wish the colors were more vibrant here in Texas.
Here is a card I made month's ago for a PC call and it wasn't accepted. I used paint swatches from WalMart and they already had the square holes punched in them, so I just threaded the ribbon through it.

Paper Storage

Hey! Today I want to show you what I was working on last week. I bought a paper holder thing from Hobby Lobby close to a year ago, and it's JUNK! It's held up with plastic clips and metal wire sides and it keeps falling apart! It's already fell once and I just took it down because it was about to fall again. So I have to look into a different avenue for all of my patterned papers. I have started using mostly PTI's cardstock paper and I LOVE it! So I wanted to have somewhere to store all of those papers for easy access. And I am LOVING it so far! :) I like to move into the kitchen or the living room when the kids are home so I can be more involved with them if I decide to craft, so being able to pick up my papers and move around is great for me. I'm sure when I get my new craft room, I will having another place for these papers. But for now my space is limited!

I put the paper pack and a manila folder in each hanging folder.
I used my Fiskars scallop circle punch and punched each color out. And I used my new Martha Stewart scor board that I got a Michael's with my 40% off coupon! Woo Hoo! :) And I scored the middle and folded it in half and stamped the name of the paper on each circle with my Lawn Fawn Harold's ABC set! (I love this set!)
Then I used my Tombo Mono liquid glue to adhere them to each Manila file folder.
In each file folder, I keep the scraps of that color. (Because I don't like to waste at all!)

So behind the manila folder of scraps is the paper pack.
And the hanging folders are in this cute Raspberry Fizz plastic crate from WalMart! :)

Ok that's it for today. I have a really cool project that I will be posting soon and I am so excited about it. I have a few more things to finish on it and then I will show ya'll! Let's just say, that I'm trying to get organized in the chaotic craft room! :)

Baby Gifts

Hey everybody! Well today I wanted to share a couple of gift sets that I made for a couple of friends about a month ago. You all know that I LOVE making onesie gifts for babies! But this time I got to make some for boys! So of course I had to use camo fabric while making them! :)
I made them for two different friends. One of the boys names is Darren and one is Rylan. So here is a pic of Darren's onesie. (I didn't take pics of each one, because I was trying to get them both mailed that day, and I was running out of time!) :) Here is a pic of the pacifier/toy holder I made. I got the idea from the Scrapbook Trends- Create: Stamping magazine. Instead of putting a button on it to hold it together, I used a snap.

Welcome Little One card

Hey everybody! Well it has been a BUSY week! Autumn had her first Volleyball game Monday, Cheered her first game Thursday, cheered at the High School Homecoming game Friday, she played in her first Volleyball tournament Saturday (where the got 3rd, they played 7th & 8th graders, and our 8th grade team got 2nd place!) And Chace had a football game Saturday too and they won 21 to 8! It has been busy...but great! :)

So I thought I would share one of those cards that I made awhile back and never posted. I made it for our new Superintendent at our school. Him and Chance went to school together years ago at another town and he came to our school this year and him and his wife just had their first daughter. So I made them this card. Girly Gifts

Hey everybody! Well I'm back again today with a gift set that I made for Autumn's teacher/softball coach/basketball coach/pitching coach. She helped out alot last year and how we first met was, she loved Autumn's hair flower that I made her and she asked if she could buy some from me. Well she also told Autumn that she would help her with pitching, so I figured I would just trade her hair accessories for lessons. So I made her some for her twin girls and put them on headbands. I figured that she helped her out so much with everything, that I would make her girls a gift set at the end of the year! And her and her girls loved them! :)
Here is the Thank you card, it matches the gift set perfect! ;)

I used a tutorial from Youtube to make these TuTu's. And of course all twins usually wear pink and purple, (I wasn't even a twin and my Mom dressed me and my sister like that!) :) I bought little tank tops from Walmart and made some fabric ruffles and sewed them on and little H's for their names (Hannah & Hayden). I bought some little shorts to go underneath and of course I made some more headbands!

This set makes me wish I made these when Autumn was a baby! She would have been so cute in it! I told her that I could make her one now if she wanted one! :)

Teachers Gifts

Hey! Well today is a holiday in the US, so the kids are out of school. I think you should rest on Labor Day, but I sure didn't get too! I have been trying to get caught up on laundry and cleaning up my craft area (didn't get very far there)! :(
But I did want to share the Back-To-School gifts I made for the teachers on the first day (2 weeks ago! :) ) I made 5 sets of these. They really enjoyed them! :)

Exciting News & Lots of Cards

Hey everybody! I have some exciting news to share! Autumn made the "A" team in Volleyball yesterday! They have A,B,& C teams. Autumn was basically the top 6 out of about 35 girls! We are SO excited for her! She has her first game today and I already have our School Spirit shirt on! :) Volleyball was my Favorite sport and I have waited 12 years to watch her play! They play all kinds of sports, but this is her first year to play this! It might be a little rocky at first, but I think they will all get better! :)
Well as you can see by the picture below, I have been cleaning out all of my cards! These are mostly from submitting and weren't picked, so there are alot of them! Thanks to my friend Kelley and her cleaning sprees she does, she has inspired me to clean out my card bucket and mail some out and just try and give some away! I have lost site of card making by submitting all the time and then they would sit in the bucket!
So today I am sending off 5 cards to family and customers of our business. I have been told many times and again just today that I have the gift of encouragement! What a great gift to have and how Amazing that I like to make cards too! I can send cards to people to help encourage them! Thank You Lord! :)
I am going to try and continue to send cards out and if they are some that I haven't post on here, then I will post them when I send them. Then I can cross it off of my long list to post! :)
So here is all my clutter at my kitchen table this morning. Here is a card I made months ago and submitted and it wasn't accepted. I really love the colors. I am sending this one to my Mee Mee.I made this one a couple of month's ago and it wasn't submitted. I am sending this one to my Uncle who just lost his wife.
I started making this one a couple of months ago to, but I finished it this morning. It is for my cousin and his family. His Mom is the one that passed away.

I am also sending my cousin and her family a card and a customer of ours too. I have already posted those cards over a year ago. It really feels good to send out some cards! That IS why I started making cards in the first place! :)

So I want to challenge ya'll to send out some cards today! Sometimes people just want a reminder that you Love them! :)

I still have lots of projects that I haven't ever posted, I hope to get those post soon too!

And don't forget about the EBTKS challenge! Get those hair bows, clips, and rubber bands out and make a card! It really was alot of fun!

EBTKS Challenge #22- Around the House

Good morning! It time for our "Around the House Challenge" from EBTKS blog. And I am the host this month. And my item to use from around the house is Hair Accessories! It can be rubber bands, bobby pins, clips, etc... Just about everybody has some kind of hair accessory if they have hair or a daughter! I was at my sisters house a couple of weekends ago and we were looking through her daughters hair accessories. And I found the cutest butterfly that was made out of small rubber bands. So that got me thinking about cards and how than can be used on a card and be taken off to use as a gift too! :) And our sponsor is...Some Odd Girl! So here is what I came up with. Isn't that a cute rainbow?! It's the "Rainbow" from the Some Odd Girl Store. I printed out the rainbow and cut the rays and clouds apart and wrapped around different color rubber bands on the rays. And then adhered it with glue dots. It really reminds me of Rainbow Brite! Hence the sentiment! (but I think it was spelled Rainbow Brite.) :) Here is another card I made using hair accessories. That butterfly is similar to the one I saw at my sisters. And I used colored bobby pins for the flower stems too.
